First question:
I'm thinking about taking my Druid to BC instances once she reaches 55 (She's 53 now) with 4 of my level 70 boxing squad. I'm a bit worried about aggro range and was wondering how far back she could stand and still get experience for the kill. Has anyone tested this? I tried searching but none of my search terms seemed to work.
Second question:
With the changes coming in the WotLK talents it looks like the Moonkin Druid will add some nice synergy to a boxing squad.
Earth and Moon: +13% Arcane, Fire, Frost, Nature and Shadow damage
Moonkin Form: +5% Spell Crit and +3% Haste
Improved Faerie Fire: +3% to Hit and Armor Debuff on target for more Tank threat.
Insect Swarm: -5% Hit Debuff on Enemy
All this plus Mark of the Wild and Thorns buffs, Crowd Control (Entangling Roots works indoors now, Cyclone, and Hibernate), Battle Res, Innervate, Abolish Poisons, the ability to Off-heal, and spell cast times that synergize with the mages (1.5 second Wrath, FFire, Moonfire, Insect Swarm, and 3 sec Starfire).
My question: Is all this worth the loss of a Mage in a 5-man squad? It seems to me like it would be, but I don't know how Moonkin DPS compares to Mage DPS and how the loss of spamable AOE is going to affect Multi-mob situations.
Third question:
What are the pros and cons of swapping out another one of my mages or my Holy priest with a Shaman (Decent DPS Gear, T6 healing gear)? The shaman has so many good buffs for a caster group (Haste, Mana regen, Spell Damage, Totem of Wrath). The problem with playing as DPS is the casting times don't synergize (I tend to not spam my buttons) and as with the Moonkin, I'm not sure how their DPS compares to the mages and Magma totem sucks for AOE. I could swap out my holy priest but then I'd lose Fort, Improved Spirit, Prayer of Healing, and Renew. What are your thoughts? Have any of you done any of these swaps?
Fourth question:
Is there a matrix that shows what buffs will and wont stack once 3.0 goes live?
