Windwos Vista 32 bit or windows vista 64 bit?
Windwos Vista 32 bit or windows vista 64 bit?
Windows vista 3264 bit
Depends on how much Ram you intend to have as well as how much ram your videocard has.
If you got 2x 512mb in SLI, vista 32-bit will only recognize a max of like, 3gb of ram you put in your machine. 64-bit goes up to 8gb
There are more difference, but this is the biggest, boxing wise.![]()

if you don't mind going to vista... then why not have the memory? i'm running vista home premium 64 with 8g of memory... no problems (beyond normal vista problems).
oh, and make sure to install service pack 1 before doing anything
MSI P45 diamond
Intel Core2Quad Q9550
Radon 4870 512 GDDR5
Antec Twelve Hundred
Antec 850W Power Supply
320gb WD HDD 16mb / just a temp one till i get my raptor
So i need your guys/girls help with 2 things
Ram - mine takes up to DDR3 2000 - How much and then reasonable speed
thats about what i am running, but from what i hear, there are some games that dont like to run on vista 64 bit, i am thinking about putting in like 4gb of ram
I would use DDR2-800, cause DDR3 is REALLY expensive atm..
DDR2-800 8gb, proper brand..
And kaynin - 64bit OS' can see ALOT more than just 8 gb![]()

yeah, well i dont mind to spend the extra money on some faster ram, all i want to do its quad box on just 1 computer and not have it blue screen every 20 mins
True, but the conventional motherboards only support up to 8gb unless you get something a lil more special anyhow. :POriginally Posted by 'iztehzha',index.php?page=Thread&postID=119564#pos t119564

4 DIMMs w/ DDR3 2000+ up to 8GB
thats what my motherboard can take
if youare blue screening, which is fairly rare these days, its probably due to a driver issue.
make sure to UNCHECK wow/settings/sound/background sounds (something like that... can't run wow here)... maybe that'll help
