    Default Class Composition Questions

Hi all =) I'm wondering if anyone can help me making a new team (yes I'm an altaholic). I'm thinking of either:

Prot AoE Pally, Holy Pally, Mage, Mage
Prot AoE Pally, Holy Pally, Mage, Shadow Priest
Prot AoE Pally, Holy/Disc Priest, Mage, Mage

What do yall think of these setups so far as running PvE content by themselves? Would one of these be better than another? Would you recommend subbing out one or more of them? Any advice is welcome!
    Thanks in advance!

I think holy paladins are bad. With no AE heal (and not good AE heal in wrath) it would make healing your group a bit more difficult where as shaman chain heals and priest CoH make it a lot easier on you. As far as DPS goes you could really use any ranged dps, people just like the totems =), and I personally prefer a paladin tank, however, you could use a warrior or druid if you wished. They are a bit easier to gear then a paladin but take a bit more mircomanagement to control
"Come back with your shield. Or on it"
    The Fallen Angels

So your recommendation would be Prot Pally, Priest, DPS DPS?

WotLK Holy paladins can instantly heal a target for around 25k-30k healing. lol wotlk is so F'ed up atm.

Actually holy pali can heal really well. A majority of the time, only one yer gonna be healing is yer tank.

Anyone one of those setups would work great.

I'd consider switching one of yer dps for an off healer for the "oh shit" moments but it would slow yer kills down a tad kind of a toss up really.

With 2 pali you could have kings and some other blessing and 2 auras up

priest aoe heals is nice but its very mana intensive its not something yeh will be casting often or yeh end up oom

Nice, thanks for the input guys  I was really leaning toward pally, because of the two auras, double the blessings etc, and I think it should be fun. So wish me luck, on my 2pally 2mage setup :whistling:

I'd go with priest instead of healer pally tho, but that's just me Fortbuff is really nice, but what people say, atm pala is the best singeltarget healer in game.
but yeah, another blessing and aura is also really good. with 2 mages you could aoegrind alot with the pala tanking.
Currently not boxing, info below is not really relevant.

    ProtPala+Elemental+Holy+Moonkin+Shadow
    Currently: Level 80+75*4
    Griznia, Leonina, Grizniaah, Leoninja, Grizniiah
    EU - Draenor - PvE

I'm also having difficulties deciding on a Holy Paladin or Holy Priest.

I'm wondering if the main reason people go Priest is due to it being so hard to heal other party members apart from the tank which can be made up for by group healing? I seem to have worked out a decent way to heal anyone in the party so I'm not sure if Paladin would be the way to go.

Would Paladin also require less macros for skills? I gather they pretty much revolve around 1 or 2 heals.

It doesn't bother me too much either way, I mainly want to never run of mana but will have mages for water if needed. Also the thought of trying to gear 4 robe users doesnt seem very plesant.
    2019 (40 - Priest/Mage/Mage/Mage/Mage) (16 - 5x Druid)
    2008 (60 - 2x Paladin 3x Mage) (64 - Moonkins) (70 - Shamans)

Yeah I thought about the difficulty to heal other players, but I just made macros on all my characters: /target main, /target toon2, /target toon3, and /target toon4. I then bound them to F1, F2, F3, and F4. Also, on my healadin, I made macros to /target main, /cast Holy Light; /target toon2, /cast Holy Light; etc. I'm thinking, though that this may be a bit redundant, and possibly I'll get rid of the F1-F4 macros in favor of healing macros on my main bound to the same key as the healing macros on my healadin. That way the toon needing to be healed gets double the healing. I don't know, I'm not really sure yet which way would be easier, but I do know from using the F1-F4 macros on my 4 shaman, that you have to re-activate combat on the other toons after you make them target someone, which is kindof a PITA.

Ugh I'm kinda confused now  Anyone got any advice as to which way (if not maybe a different way) would be better?
