"Owned" by a rude single boxer?

Hah...

Ok so I was questing in Zangarmarsh with my 5 shamans last night, and was running to the very northwest corner (ango'rosh grounds I think) to kill the 10 maulers + 10 souleaters + boss. Well just as I'm running across the giant mushroom bridge a 63 BE holy priest (Vineyard on Burning Legion Horde side if anyone cares) that asks to be invited to do the quest. Well, I tell him I already have 5 (politely) and he and I both keep running towards the mobs.

He runs up to a mauler to attack it, so I run past the mauler and run up to the 2 guards outside the boss' hut, and start a LB + CL combo on the guards. He sees me attack the guards and then runs directly into the hut, aggros the boss and says "Owned, learn not to multibox".

I'm like... "what? You're an ass".

So then I figure, how can I get revenge on this guy? Well, first thing is, I killed every single ogre on the entire hill before he even got done with the boss + resting. Then, as ogres start respawning, I kill them all again making sure to tap each mob hes about to fight with earth shock so he can't get any kills. He then runs back to the "boss" hut thinking he will keep me from killing the boss again but apparently earth shock is better than anything holy priests have because I easily tap the boss before he can, get the kill, kill all the respawning ogres again before he can tap any, and then call him a sucker and leave.

All of that could have just been avoided if he wasn't an ass...he was killing things so slowly if he had just let me have the boss it would have easily respawned way before he killed 20 of the other guys.

Anyone else have any funny stories about people on your own side being an ass and things you did to get back at them? I need some more devious ideas

I'm sorry, but that was uncalled for. Even though he was being a jerk, there is no reason to resort to kill stealing via tapping while he attempts to pull mobs. When you resort to his childish behavior, you become no better than him. Also, if I remember correctly what you explained would be labeled under griefing (following and intentionally marking his mobs). Just please remember this the next time something such as this happens and take the high road.

I have a soft spot for those who level priests, paladins, shaman, or druids as a healing spec. If I had been in your shoes, I probably would've left one of my 5 behind for a few minutes to invite the holy priest and help them kill the mobs on that island. After all was said and done, it wouldn't have taken too much longer to do the quest over again for the 5th guy I had left behind.

I know it would've taken longer, but the "me first" attitude so many people have really gets old.

Heck if he wanted to be really polite you probably woulda killed the whole hill for him in 20 secs, if he thanked you. I know the personallity you have, i got it too.

And also, his foolish fault for leveling holy,
holy priests deserve to be in instances.

I disagree. In an environment where there's no opportunity for player justice in any other form, I'd say that was a fair response to provocation and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same.

I myself would have waited for the boss to respawn and just ignored him. if he was intent on camping the boss to stop me killing him, I would have done another quest and come back later to finish it off.

I've been in situations like that many times, and I usually just find the biggest group of mobs clustered together I can find to feign like I am about to pull them and interrupt myself at the end... if he tries to "steal" this kill he'll be surprised to find he got all the aggro to himself... While he's busy with that, I finish myquest up and leave.

On the other hand, I frequently help people that are doing the same kill quests I am, I just tell them to mark what they need and I burn them down for a few kills, or I'll just shock their mob as they are fighting them as I run by... No reason to drop one of your 5...
