new computer

OK so here is mine now

AMD Althon 64 x2 5600
4gb pc64000 ram
300gb WD SATA HDD
Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb ram
Running Windows XP


My system keeps crashing after 5-10mins after running 4xWoW, I get a blue screen for about 1sec and then my computer restarts so i can tell you the exact error

anyone know if its my pc, or do i need to make a new one, i have about 1000 that i can spend on a new computer right now?

take the side cover off - direct a desktop fan into the pc and let us know if that cures the problem

I had the same issue on a friends Quad core rig and the above cured it, all he had to do was improve the case ventilation

umm... i use the antec 900 case...... have you seen the fans on that lol ^_^

OK so i am selling my friend my old computer and build a new one. This is what i have so far -

MSI P45 diamond

Intel Core2Quad Q9550

Radon 4870 512 GDDR5

Antec Twelve Hundred

Antec 850W Power Supply

320gb WD HDD 16mb / just a temp one till i get my raptor

So i need your guys/girls help with 2 things

Ram - mine takes up to DDR3 2000 - How much and then reasonable speed

OS - Windows Vista or XP
