Greetings:
Have posted a few times over the last few weeks, done a lot of lurking, many many searches.
I jumped all the way in quickly, bought 4 battlechests last weekend, since I wanted to do shammies I had/have to activate accounts fully right out of the gate. Spent hours yesterday structuring my new accounts (teamblah1-4), ran into the error 203 problem with trying to set up the 4th RAF. Tried releasing and renewing the IP a couple times and powering down modem and router for 20 min, IP remained the same, still have the error. I am assuming I am baked until I try to do the creation from a completely different computer or can call in on Monday?
Having done some very early assist and follow stuff, it takes some getting used to, but there is something beautiful about my 3 semi goth chick shammies all casting lightning bolt in unison. That first groove when you get them to cast properly is a serious rush.
Ran into headaches occasionally not being able to tell if I was paused or not, is there a way to force a visual indicator?
Links to Keyclone's video tutorials on his site need to be more prominently spammed, those things are GOLD for setting stuff up. The maximizer sample layouts are also a godsend.
One thing I'm not grasping on the maximizer regions is exactly how the function key region swaps work, I'd think I was going to swap A and B and get A and C instead, can someone clarify?
The wiki is also magical, though it can be hard sometimes to tell if some segments are outdated. I played it safe and set up the low, medium, high graphics macros even though I'm on keyclone maximizer.
Since I alt a lot I don't do much binding, are there good ways to expand the number of quickbar buttons that are available to pass? For example the additional quickbars in the default UI don't seem to pass since they are a click not a keypress.
Will enjoy fiddling with my 4 shammies once I get the last one launched, and 4 box until it's time to add the 60 pally that's not linked.
Going to try and fiddle a bit, see if I'm smart enough to use the assigning focus based on party1, party2, but try and have it not be a list of named toons. There are so many ways to handle the focus and such it'll be tough to settle on a combination of simple and flexible.
The wiki and this forum has been a great resource in getting me started, several times I hit walls and did a couple searches and opened 12 windows looking, usually I did find the answer.
My machine should be strong enough to run at least these 4 (32 bit XP, 256 MB 8600 GT, dual core Athlon, 4 GB memory), but I think I might be hooked.
