A newbie wants some help

As the topic says I'm a noob and I need some help to getting started.
I've tried to figure out how to duelboxing but I only seem to fail.

I'm using 2 accounts in 1 computer.
I'm planing on playing a mage / priest. Going to do AE and heal =)

Witch one should I have as main?

I want to be able to link the games so I press the same button in both games with one press on the keyboard.

Thats all I think, or is there something else that I need to have in mind?

Welcome to the Forusm, Im rather new myself but I'll do what I can to help.
First off you said you have tried but fail, what is it you are trying that isn't working, and what are your system specs? I Have a single core P4 with 4 gigs of ram and a 8600 GT, I can run up to 3 WoW's no issue maybe more but I would want a dual or quad core probably.

2nd - As I am new I can not tell you from experiance how that class combo will work thought I suggest having the mage as the main. One suggestion offer you is getting Keyclone its $10.00 and honestly by far the easiest to use from install to actuall playing.

Something you want to decide is what they will be for PVE or PVP that determines really what your playing style will be and your goals.

what is it you are trying that isn't working, and what are your system specs?

I've tried to make macros so I can fight with both of my chars at the same time, without changing window.
oh, I got a crapy computer atm, it's a p4 3.0ghz 1024mb ram and ati radeon 9800 pro :')

Keyclone its $10.00 and honestly by far the easiest to use from install to actuall playing.

PVE or PVP

At first only PvE but maybe later some PvP

as a general guideline, the character that requires the most micro-management should be your primary.

with a mage / priest combo this will depend on your play style, but there is no reason why you can't swap between them as needed.

set up autohotkey or keyclone as needed to pass the relevant keys to all your wow instances, download jdraughn's multiboxer mod (allows easy change of leadership and auto-follow among other things)

take a look at the macro's and addons section, there is some great info there.

I dual-boxed a mage and priest once. Always had the mage as the primary character with the priest as a healbot.

Dual-boxing can make you sloppy sometimes, at least with PVE. With a priest as a healbot I didn't kite mobs very much compared to when I played a mage as a single.

I always had the priest as Holy but probably should have gone Shadow and used VE more and could have been more aggressive with the priest rather than just healing all the time. They both made it to 70 before I started even looking at Shadow.
