I quit cuz of RAF

This whole non-retrospective Recruit-A-Friend thing has got me bummed, so i've cancelled all 5 accounts.

I enjoy the game and multi-boxing but i want my ez-mode levelling for 30 days. Just to try some of the other classes at a higher level, don't have the spare time to level them the normal way (jobs, life). Blizz hasn't looked after old customers. Content patches don't count because they're an expectation when buying the game/expansion, it's what your subscription pays for.

Totay agree.. I want LESS time consuming on the way to when the game realy begins.. lvl 60+

RAF is available to you just as it is to everyone with a veteran account.

Rather than quitting all 5 , why not suspend 3, get 3 raf accounts and quick level up a second team.

You could just get away with 3 old wows (not BC) then transfer them to your old accounts for the 60 -70 stretch.

I respect you greatly, but I only see you suffering as a result of this action. (You say you enjoy wow and multiboxing but are going to deny it to yourself in some form of protest that blizzard wont even notice).

Yeh i'm losing out for now, but i can find other things to be entertained with. It's just a loss in nightly entertainment.
And actually, i'm making my friends suffer too, i've gotten 3 of them to cancel their accounts as well, i introduced the IT department to warcraft and can get a lot of them to cancel as well. We're all casual players with lives so we're not losing a lot. Yeh blizz probably won't notice but i can't stick with a company that isn't loyal to their loyal customers. That's how i see it, i know a lot of ppl will disagree but u know, that's how i see it =)

At the end of the day you always have the option to come back if you miss it.

Personally I view blizzard as a business providing a service (it is afterall what they are). If the service is good enough for what i pay I will keep paying it.

If not then I would leave.

No loyalty to them on my part, no loyalty necessary from them to me. They just have to provide the service level I require.

Just about every type of business I know of gives incentives to new customers that aren't provided to old customers.

I've quit before, not for any reason, just bored of the game. The only reason i came back was to chat with old friends, that's all the game ever was for me. Just a place to hang and chat.
Well.. that was before you guys got me onto multiboxing which has made the much more game fun.

Whatever date they chose, it would have been guaranteed to annoy the hell out of anyone who *just* missed out on that date.

It's a no-win situation for them, so they did the right thing here and it's consistent with the way they've handled change in the past.

I hope they make the RaF bonus - or at least something close to it - the standard XP rate for at least 1-60 some time soon though. One way or another, they're going to have to address the "vet wants to create an alt, doesn't want to start from scratch" problem.

Honestly it should have been offered to everyone, even if it was something as limited as link 1 friend to your account. They can't lose out of it, server traffic costs because of more ppl playing? More people playing.. that's a good thing.

As I've stated before, I believe the 3x XP will eventually become the norm, not just RAF. (or perhaps 2x only, but whatever).

Once wrath comes out I think they'll make it universal as few people will be willing to do the full 1-80 as things stand.

I understand your position though, but it is your choice, the end point is the same, a team of 2,3 4 5 or whatever chars to box. Some people who are levelling 4 or 5 different teams I wager will become overwhelmed by it all when Wrath comes out, unable to decide which team to concentrate on. Sometimes having slightly fewer chars can be an advantage.

That's the key issue, but you have nothing to be jealous or annoyed about.

RAF is available to you just like everyone else - you just aren't willing to pay for it.
