Default Scaling down. When 5 is just too much.

I have been dual-boxing for a long time now. Only recently did I move up to tri-boxing and as of late penta-boxing. I am actually kind of burnt out on the penta boxing though for a couple reasons. 1) The attention gets to be too much. Most people don't notice if you are 2/3 boxing but 4/5 they do. 2) Collection quest. I can stomach them when I am 3 boxing, but they make you want to gouge your eyes out x 5. I know, I know just skip them but honestly I like to do a lot of quest.

From the RAF I was doing groups of 5 but a couple nights ago I scaled back to 2/3 boxing. Well actually 3/4 boxing as I still bring my 70 Druid in to fly thru collection quest by killing a massive number of mobs quickly.

I didn't roll back because it was harder. I actually am more active playing when I am just running 3 toons. I am doing separate classes too.

Have many of you went up to 5 boxing and then decided that you had more fun just dual or tri boxing?

I went straight from 1 to 5, so I haven't tried 2, 3, or 4 boxing... collection quests are definitely bad while 5 boxing (I didn't do any pre-outlands but now I'm doing the first few collection outlands quests cause I need the gear and it is painful as hell).

I don't think I would want to 2-4 box though...the whole reason I decided to MB in the first place was for soloing heroics and 5v5 arena, and with less than 5 that becomes a chore/impossible. Whenever I don't want to 5 box I just play a single character.

I'm sure a lot of people "enjoy" 2-3 boxing more than 5 boxing though as it certainly would be less tedious.

Picking up 150 pieces of zepplin parts isn't fun.

    But I trudged through.

Collecting 150 naga claws was annoying.

    But I did it.

Just put on some music and get in the zone.

You my friend have patients by the truck load. If I have to collect more than 2 of anything I drop it. The naga claws have caused the demise of more than a few solo players let alone MB'ers

At least Naga Claws are (or nearly) a 100% drop rate.

One reason I'm playing multiple classes.. so if I "have" to do a colleciton quest for gear..then maybe it'll only be for 1 or 2 of them.

I five box so I can solo instances at level and at a pace that I can enjoy the content. I can't stand pugging and play at such limited/odd hours its hard to find guildies at the same level.

3-boxing rocks. I have 4 accounts but my friend plays on one. And yeah collection quest are horrible specially when its not 100% drop rate. Got to 61 yesterday and I did the bead collection quest at the Temple for alliance it was not 100% but it was not less than 50% so that's good, took me a bit to get them still. I avoided as many collection quest while leveling up with RAF to 60. Took me longer than some others but was still learning the ropes about boxing and had a good time I might start a second team, maybe some mages and a druid for healing. Currently my 61 team is a SP and 2 locks, fun to fear everything even the lv 70 druid that ganked me yesterday, I was surprised to take him down as far as I did even though he killed me rather quick.
