Would it be worth the time to have a third WoW only RAF, and then have my mage power level the two?

70 mage - another class - another class

and that would enable me to 1-60 some other character after they hit 60.

You'd get a lot lot less XP for having a 70 in the party.
With 5 people in a party, all of them linked (2 linked to main, 1 linked to other main) they get about 200xp per kill for same level mobs. If I add a 70 to the mix then they will get about 50 or less.

You will need to do a search to find it, but I do recall a thread that talked about boosting two or more RAF accounts with a non-RAF account. As I recall, the RAF accounts would need to tag a mob that was at least green to the 70 then the 70 could kill it for full XP.
