    Default Easiest Heroics?

    Hi,

Just started in on heroics the other day. I've got up to the first 2 bosses in slave pens down pat. I also can clear through the first boss in ramps pretty easily.

Running - Pali, 4xEle Shams atm

    1) I seem to be able to keep up pretty well as it is. Is it worthwhile to respec a sham to resto?
    2) Which other heroics are relatively easy so that I can gear up a bit better.

Pali gear is good with 12.5k hps, 500+defense and 102.4%+mitigation
Shams are gimpy with only 400 spell damage atm.

    Thanks for any guidance!

Take a shot at mana tombs. There are alot of casters so your grounding totems will really shine. Also the 2nd boss in ramparts(omrock or something not the dragon and rider) is really easy also all he does is cast so your grounding totems once again will shine. Underbog seems to be a pretty easy heroic also. Just remember that most of the time learning heroics I had more trouble with the trash than the bosses themselves.

Have you ever thought about letting earth elementals tank certain bosses and have your pally heal? This way you should have strong dps to take down the bosses. I run a 5 shaman team and on certain bosses (2nd boss in Slave Pens/2nd boss in Mana Tombs) I switch my main out from lightning bolt spam to lesser healing wave spam. I would think you could achieve the same thing with they pally spamming heals on bosses target.

Wow...really good idea. I'm not smart sometimes and hadn't put together why some people kept suggesting boss' target macros. That would be a perfect way to keep elementals/etc up. I'll give mana tombs and underbog a go today. Thanks for the inputs!

I opted to make one of my ele shammies resto. I picked up tailoring and made her the primal mooncloth and whitemend healing sets. Your tank is in great shape, so once you get your healer some gear then you will be clearing heroics with no problems. I remember when I first started heroics. Slave Pens took me well over two hours and multiple wipes. Now that I have better gear I'm clearing it (SP) in 25 mins easy. (tankadin + 3 ele sham + 1 resto sham)

I found mana-tomes very hard when i first tried it. The mobs hit VERY hard. UB is easy, Ramparts is easy, SP is easy, SV is easy if you use crack on first boss, Bot is easy.

My first heroics (in that order): SP, BOT, SV, UB
I'd say all of those are about the same level of difficulty and you could start with either one.
Twisting Nether(EU) Knuphph - Protadin Phia - Resto Shaman Phelicia - Lock Phurry - Moonkin Dairybull - Elemental Shaman
Currently inactive, will continue on Shattered Hand!

Here's some of my experience as a quad boxing shaman.

I usually roll with a tank 4x ele shammies in pvp gear, the following list I can do with any tank, even green geared ones.

    Slave Pens
    Botanica
    Ramparts
    Mana tombs
Mechanar (might want to skip the +- boss, altho, he's still quite doable.)
    Blood Furnace
Sethekk Halls (I can 4 man Sethekk easily even.)
Underbog (tank with 12/13k prefered, otherwise bosses are easy and trash is definatly overcomable.)
    Steamvaults

The harder instances are (from least to most tough)

Shattered Halls - It's not that hard with a warrior tank, I cleared it well within the execution time limit with a warrior tank once. But I can imagine it would being well hard for any other set up. We pulled everything far back and used fear on each pull. This worked like a charm. No wipes, nice and swift. But without fear or an ubergeared tank, I might postpone doing this one. The least tough of my tough instance list.

Arcatraz - I've not yet done this instance succesfully, but I also admit I never gave it a good try. With some pots and such, it's no doubt doable, but definatly among the harder ones. But not the hardest.

Shadow Labs - Doable, but unpredictable on the second boss. Need some extra macro's for Murmur as well, altho he does die quite fast. Only did it once myself, didn't bother doing it again, was well annoying, really, + some wipes on second boss.

Magisters Terrace - I cleared this one with a mage that swapped on his tank for the second boss. But we couldn't down the second boss while he was on his mage. Basicly, key is to keep the boss at max distance while massnuking. Make sure the energy beings aren't a problem. Boss dies fast otherwise.

Auchenai Crypts - nearly freaking impossible if you ask me, not worth the effort anyhow. :P the first boss is WELL annoying. Positioning needs to be perfect. You prolly need quite a few tries on that. Trash is annoying too. Overall it's a bothersome instance, no fun doing it either. I tried a few wipes on the first boss, got close to downing him, with a warrior tank. But it was getting late, we called it and I haven't gone back since. :P
