putting the focus on the run command... no problem.

as for running a command on a remote machine...

    assuming: machine-A machine-B machine-C

where machine-B runs your main, A and C run 2 clones each.
    you set A and C to auto-connect to B
then you add commands to A, B, and C to run wow
(you could have wow1, wow2 for separate directories)

then, on B, after A and C have connected... you type:

    A:wow1;A:wow2;C:wow1;C:wow2;wow

and hit 'connect' or enter. (the last wow runs locally on machine B)

this willl run all your wow instances in one shot.

Ok so I understand everything except how do you load wow from keyclone on the pc your using... without doing it from a 2nd keyclone instance (either from another machine or as a 2nd instance on local machine)

the combo box on the bottom of the main screen will now take the iport of the machine to connect to as well as a local or remote command. the format is as follows:

    [<ip to connect>[ort]]
    or
    [[keyclone-nickname:]<command>[;]]

so... once you make the command (wow == c:\program files\world....) you can put the command into the combo box on the bottom of the main keyclone screen and hit enter (or click 'connect').

you can run multiple commands at once by separating them by semicolons ';'

    in the previous example: A:wow1;A:wow2;C:wow1;C:wow2;wow

that command, executed from machine B, would run 2 copies of wow on A, 2 on C, and the final 'wow' would run on B since it has no nickname in front of the command

    Hi Keyclone,

installed the new Version (wrote two days before in the 1.7m Thread). Removed the old Keyclone dir (don't know if i have to remove anything from registry), downloaded the version, unziped and started keyclone.exe without having any wow open. The results are, that a .tmp file is generated in the keyclone directory (seems the motd) and loads up cpu and memory, without doing anything and then create something i would say sounds like a Buffer Overflow (Apps get weird, Gfx Errors, etc.). After killing the keyclone.exe Thread and restarting the apps the os works again.

weirdness. sounds like v1.7n won't be getting bumped out of beta just yet.

keyclone does not touch the registry (i hate the registry)... by removing the keyclone directory, there would be nothing left on the machine.

the .tmp is for the message of the day (motd).

just starting keyclone puts your system to 100%.. that's not good. did you deny it out via windows firewall? it needs to attempt validation as well as pull the motd.

any other clues as to what could have caused it to have a fit? what is your OS? what is running? any firewall software? did it ever pop up or did it just crap out?

thanks for the heads up. keep it coming... it only helps improve the product.

Hey keyclone got another one for you, downloaded and installed the [WoW] ptr client to my machine, I went into keyclone and created the command line test which leads to the program *C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft/Wowtest/wow.exe* I then reset maximizer and set it up for 4 panes on one monitor, and go out put in *test;test;test;test* on the command line and they just open one on top of the other.

Is there an issue with Maximizer not working too deep into a sub tree?

no.. it should work fine. make sure you have maximizer enabled via the checkbox at the bottom of the panel.

let me know how it goes.

Yep disabled it, reset it then re-enabled it, re-set it up and still opening them all up on tope of eachother with out spreading themn around as I have set up.

Also this does it at work on an XP machine and at home on a Vista machine.

    *edit*
Ok after doing some more experimenting, I copied 2 world of warcraft folders into two new parent folders labled test1 and test 2 respectively, so now my commands read *c:/Program Files/Test/World Of Warcraft/wow.exe* and *C:/Program Files/Test2/World Of Warcraft/wow.exe* I start up keyclone with my 2 new test commands and voila it works. I rename the folder structure to match that of the real wow PTR client structure *C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft4/WoWTest/wow.exe* and *C:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft/WoWTest/wow.exe* and once again maximizer works fine so its something with the ptr client preventing Maximizer to work, dont know if this is something you want to look into, as in a change in the client that might cuase problems on launch day for you or maybe im just worrying for nothing.

    Hey KC,

I bought Keyclone last week to try it first before I recommend it to my GF who would like to dual box. I am like Xzin who currently has everything hardware with Vetras. However, I have some friends who are interested in multiboxing and I would like to recommend an alternate means rather than spending 4 grand on a hardware only setup.

I love the Version 1.7n. It perfectly does what I bought it for - which is to use the maximizer option to display two WOWs on two different monitors in a horizontal span without the boarders and incorporate what AHK does without all the hoopla.

The only issue I have is "saving" my setup. Currently, each time I run keyclone, I have to go to all the setup options such as Command, Override (disable the beeping sound every 5 seconds when I do not want keys to broadcast), Maximizer settings, etc. I thought it was as simple as creating a "new" kcl file but the New, Save, etc buttons would not work.

I'm hesitant to try the new versions of Keyclone because it may deviate from an already near perfect version. Does Keycloan (specifically version 1.7n) not allow you to save the settings so you don't have to set them up each time you run keyclone? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Hapi
