    Default 2boxing mages..just need advice if alt with imp scorch spec is feasible

    was thinking that if i had the second character with imp scorch spamming that 3 times then fireballing..and the main mage pyroblasting then fireballing..if that would be feasible or just plain stupid and just need to go back to 2 pyros then fireballs...just wanted peoples thoughts :P

    Pyroblast is useless except for pulling or in combination with presence of mind. Fireball is more DPS.

    sure its feasible but most things will die before it make much of a difference.

    yeh could probably easily kill anything equal level or lower with 2X fireball scorch fireblast and if it did survive cone of cold will finish it off.

    I have a group with 4 mages and run them all scorch spec (including imp scorch).

    I don't use fireball very much, and I didn't take imp fireball. Reason is, with 4 toons you have a 40% chance on each round of casts for an impact proc, which is darn sweet. Most of the times, mobs don't even get to me because of a stun so I take no dmg.

    Can't say for sure with less than 4, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

    Pryoblast will actually slow you down while grinding 2 mages.
    For grinding fire mages try this. I've found it does a lot of fast damage but is still pretty mana efficient, so you won't have to stop and drink as often.

    With 2 mages at max range,
    fireball > scorch > fireball > fire blast (if needed)

    You can get off the first 3 in nearly the same amount of time as just a pryoblast and the mobs will be dead already.
    Most of the time fire blast won't even be needed. It's more of a back-up if a malee mob has a chance to reach you.

    I use this for lots of fast single mob kills. If there are two mobs, they both get sheeped before I start this on one.
    For 3 mobs, sheep 2 and start this on the third. The third will likely reach you, but die quickly afterwards.

    With two mages it's a little different. With 4 though this would be pretty sweet.

    I tried this with two mages and it worked out like this for me:
    - While grinding; the mobs would reach me with about 30% health left. Stuns would happen about 20% of the time. It wasn't bad, but I found that I was spending a little more time bandaging and less time killing mobs.
    - In PVP though, this worked for me really nice. Since there isn't a fireball trail, I could get off a lot of scorches on someone before they could figure out where I was doing it from. Hell, if I could get behind a tree in bg, I could just keep picking off people and rarely get attacked.
