I don't do the castsequence for my totems because it can be bad for pvp and gives less control, so heres how I have my totems setup:
I have a Stoneclaw, Grounding, Tremor macro, hitting alt+r drops 5 stoneclaw totems, shift+r drops 5 grounding totems, and ctrl+r goes through a castsequence of tremor totems (so I can hit it 5 times in 2 seconds and drop them staggered, great for pvp).
I have another key bound to drop a mana spring totem on my main and 4 healing stream totems on my alts
I have another key for "earth totems" which drops 3 stoneclaws on 3 clones, a stoneskin on one clone, and an earthbind on my main
I have an "air totem" key which just drops a windwall totem and a grace of air totem on 2 shamans only, eventually when I get wrath of air a third shaman will drop that. If I need some grounding totems too I'll just hit shift+r for 5 groundings which are super cheap, then hit my macro for air totems which will replace 2 groundings with the windwall and grace of air totems
I have a fire macro, shift+f drops 5x magma, ctrl+f drops 5x fire nova, alt+f drops 5x searing, and ctrl+alt+f drops 5x totem of wrath. F by itself doesn't do anything right now (ill probably set it to just follow focus to absorb another macro I have into just this one)
I also have a macro that will drop either poison cleansing, disease cleansing, fire, or nature resist totems depending on which combo key I use
And thats pretty much all I need. Gives good control for pvp and its still easy to use for pve...in instances for semi-tough pulls i just hit:
ctrl+4 (drops 4x healing stream 1x mana spring)
ctrl+alt+f (drops 5x totem of wrath)
ctrl+1 (drops 1 stoneskin, 3 stoneclaw, 1 earthbind) if no fears, if fears I do ctrl+r 5x times spaced out by .5s each
shift+f if there are casters (5 grounding), otherwise ctrl+5 drops the 2 air totems. Or if theres only 1 caster and a bunch of ranged/melee mobs, I will hit shift+f THEN ctrl+5
Now I have 20 totems down and am ready to rock. I also have just the "5" key bound to totemic call or whatever its called, so I can absorb all the totems each time I'm ready to move. Also helps for say, hellfire ramps, when you have to wait for the boss to patrol away, then you drop totems and take down a group, then I use totemic call to bring all my totems back so the boss doesn't aggro them when he comes back around.
Much more viable when you get water shield and have 5x talents in the totem mana cost saving talent - I don't really ever have to worry about running out of mana these days.
