Keyclone Problems

I'm having trouble with no pass through occurring. I am trying to just do it simple, using Notepad. I am unable to get it to work using one computer and two instances of notepad. I am also unable to get it to work running two computers with keyclone on both and one instance each, notepad, on both computers. My Main shows connected to the ALT and the ALT shows connected to the MAIN, just like in your video. When I am typing, the Bps info is updating, but no input shows in the NOTEPAD window on the ALT. I'm tired of running search patterns for information, just to find out that all the examples are for making WoW and contain very little data about Keyclone itself. The FAQ: step-by-step basic keyclone setup thread is a joke. It should be FAQ: step-by-step basic WoW setup for Keyclone.

I am running Vista64 on both machines. If anyone can help, thank you. If I can get it working with Notepad, under both those scenarios, I am sure I can figure out how to get working with the games I do play (WoW is not one of those).

You're right -- most keyclone tutorials are game-specific, which can be frustrating. >.<

That being said, I don't personally use Keyclone but I stumbled across Guide to getting Keyclone to work with EQ2

It's a guide for EQ2 but it mentions requiring Innerspace to "lock foreground". I'm not sure if that helps you any -- if you can't get results you might want to PM keyclone and ask him how to set up Keyclone+Notepad or maybe do some non-game specific tutorials.

if it uses innerspace be damn sure you dont have it loaded if you run wow or its perma-ban time its on blizzard really big no-no list.

This is speaking from experience since i got pigged off with aliance mubbling crap at me horde side so i did the silly and used innerspace for finding ou what they were saying 2 weeks later perma ban oh bugger time to re-roll everything (lesson learnt)

Thanks for the info on innerspace. However, I can not get keyclone working with Notepad at the moment. Until I can get the simple working, I have no intentions of trying the complicated



Keyclone is now operating. Moving on to the more complicated now.

the reason it wasn't working with notepad was that the wrong window was being added to keyclone.
notepad is a stack of windows, and if you have keyclone run it, it will take the topmost window as the input window.
the titlebar,frame and menu.. don't handle any input... so keyclone will appear to not be working.

to see the characters appear, you must manually add the edit area of the notepad... by clikcing the 'add' button... then clicking the middle of the edit area on the notepad.

ALL RIGHT!!!! Working as intended now. Thanks to KEYCLONE himself. I do like EQ2 and SWG, so I have acquired Innerspace also. If you have any reservations about purchasing Keyclone...ignore them. He returns your phonecalls and I mean as soon as he can. None of this waiting crap you get from other vendors. THanks for the guide on innerspace...it was great for getting going. BTW, I aslo am using the KaVoom KM version. I like being able to mouse over to the other screen and use my main keyboard for replying to tells on other chars.

I have been boxing MANUALLY since 1996...gave up looking for software like Keyclone. I ran across a comment about it on the EQ2 forums and that was late last night. Guess you can figure that I got excited by that discovery. Thanks for all your help.

Did you get banned for circumventing the language barriers, or for using innerspace? Granted, you used innerspace to do those things, but people can program automated delays into their G15s and its still perfectly usable.

Like the G15 -- you can use it to do nefarious things, or you can use it to do legal things. I doubt using Innerspace in a way that does not break the rules would cause you to get banned -- but with anything rule-related it's in your best interest to ask the WoW GMs before use.

(i'm not sure about their policies on innerspace...)
