Default Multiboxers and Raids in WotLK?

I've been reviewing the various ability changes, especially the elimination of stacking buffs. I recall that Blizzard's reasoning was that they wanted to make a raid environment seem more open so that people could play with who they want to instead of worrying about min/maxing specs and whatnot. Does this mean that it would finally be feasible to take a well-played multibox group into a raid? I'd certainly like to know since the guild I'm in is generally pretty active outside of the summer months.

As I have yet to really bother with raiding, I thought I'd ask here to get the input of those that have done a fair amount of raiding.

A lot of the elitist raiders view multiboxers as "taking up spots" rather than being a synergized asset. Since multiboxing makes it easier to find people for raids (less humans required) its easier to manage everything from pulls, to loot, to raid timing. I love the social aspect of the game, but there are always idiots. I just ran SM with my 36/37 shaman and i dropped one for a priest to heal for me. He was shadow, but with 3 healing streams it worked well (until we wiped at the pull just before Doan, and the entire instance reset... TWICE grr)

I found that I equally love tanking/healing and dpsing, and because tanks and healers are always in short supply, im going to focus on those two aspects, and use my own DPS, and let others join in when available. I wont have a problem if they drop, cause i just bring in my own extras.

Now I just gotta level up my multitude of RAF teams. One down, one half way, and 3 to go lol. I got all this week off of work so the timing is perfect!

If you can find a guild that accept that.. If your looking for a hardcore raiding guild i doubt anyone will take you since in most encounters 1 player is better on each toon. Im not saying its impossible just alot harder and more work.

Depends on what you're doing imo, If you're going all dps, then yes, there's really not much stopping you from raiding. Some fights might be trickier to box than if you were all singles, fights that require a ton of movement, lots of things for the raid to accomplish at once, Vashj comes to mind, you'd be at a disadvantage if you were boxing. Also, for straight up dps, if you run a damage meter, even in equal gear, the leader is ALWAYS out dpsing the clones, by 2-5%. mostly from lag and those moments when things get out of sync and only some are casting. End game raids require everyone to be at 100%, and with a boxer, you'll have alts running at 95% instead.

I wouldn't DREAM of trying to box while tanking or healing. In a raid, those are single box jobs.
