Default Worst thing about being banned for account sharing..

Deserves me right I know but the worst thing about having one of your accounts banned for account sharing is...

    RE DOING MY FRICKIN MACROS!

Seriously, blizz, if you are going to ban one of my accounts - please don't ban my tank

I recruited a mate so he could get 300% exp and let him use my account to quest and kill stuff with so he can take full advantage of it...now blizz banned it *sniff*

Was fun Didn't like the shitty paladin anyway.

Yes, i got that part. I'm just surprised at all the fail in the post. I'm not going to comment any further on how stupid it was to share accounts, but why do you need to redo your macros as well? Did Blizzard come to your house and delete your macro.cache and then punch you in the baby-makers?

Excellent! An abject lesson for the "don't worry, you'll get away with it" crowd

I'm not gloating on your misfortune - not at all - but it really is a useful lesson for others who would be more upset in the same circumstances!

If you've got no eight-bit characters in your character names, you can fix the macros up with any old external editor and a bit of search and replace.

How in the world did you get caught? I mean it's pretty hard to get caught unless someone ratted on you and the guy using the account confesses to it.

    >How in the world did you get caught?

Reading between the lines, I guess his friend was multi-boxing the two accounts, GM's had some reason to take a look (random hater report) and noticed different account owners.

It could also be that accounts owned by the same person (OP's main account, OP's other account) were logged on simultaneously from different IP addresses.

In fact, the more I think about it, the easier it seems to catch people out, and the better I feel about dual-boxing.com's consistent "don't do it at all" stance

You really think multiboxers go un-noticed? Just because you dont' talk to a GM everyday, doesn't mean they aren't watching you.

    They are. Trust me.
It's true. There have been a number of times I've been totally convinced that a GM was watching based solely on the conversations I had just had with random morons in the game. The bottom line is to NOT do anything you wouldn't want Blizzard reps to see.
