Default I am at that point where...

HI all, just wondering if anyone else is feeling this way.

I hit 70 with the boyz about 2 weeks ago. I now have began the grind for the totems of the void. (21 runs 3 voids) i have started to farm av for honour etc but i just cannot bring my self to farm wsg, ab and eots, I find these bg's is where i get the most hate

I have 30 other 70's that have been geared out and i cannot seem to face what seems to be the endless grind to gear up my boyz.

With LK coming out in the near future, War just around the corner (aussie servers ftw!!!!!!) i am having troubles keeping myself focused on my goals. i try to keep my goals small and achievable, ie: two mech runs a nite, then dailies, then av with my friends.

I guess the point is, how do you keep yourself going? i love playing my shamans but lately its becoming a chore....i know i know i could stop playing inch: but like many i need that wow fix.....

To be honest I stop playing for about a week, but my partner plays and her computer is in eye line of the telly….watching her play just feeds the wow monster in me.

even with RAF i cannot fathom another team. Perhaps its time to hang up the mouse for good ;(

You have 30 other 70's? Heh, no wonder your sick of the grind! :P

Totem of the void runs are pretty mind numbing...I only have 2 from 20 runs or so as well. Good thing about shams - you can go run some heroics, or PvP...whatever you want!! Drop one of the mech runs for something that you like doing...you'll still end up with your totems in the end...

    Cheers,

Just wanted to add my two cents hehe. I completed my totem of the void grind in about maybe ahhh..15 runs or something of that nature. It went by fast.

Now im grinding the honor for my epics. Boy oh boy can that get boring. I feel ya pain. Also on the non AV battle gounds i Usally go solo to avoid the hassle of ohter players.

That amounts to more playing and less efficiency...i know. Iv hit seventy about three weeks or so ago and have the weapon and shield on my five guys. Im going to start doing the dalies and heroic trys again. Those two items alone increased my armor and spell damage immensly. So try to stick at it and also give yourself a break. I almost quit a few times since hitting seventy but said to myself damn it took a long time to get here. Im not about to throw it all away. Good luck to ya! Braggon

Not meaning to hijack this thread but I think the discussion is headed in a very good direction. I see that many folks gear up their toons via BG's. Why not farm regular instance runs for drops? Great way to build faction on top of decent gear. Sure it is not as good as most honor items but with the right mix should be good enough for heroics. I have not even begun to do the research on my shamans regarding high level gear so perhaps I am misguided.

I want to avoid the 70 blues (no pun intended). Every 70 I have leveled had that point of "God why am I doing this" I would hate to think how bad it gets times 5 :)

To be honest with WOLK around the corner. I am not going to waste my time on gear leveling. Once i hit 70 im going to get the items that stay with me and not reset in wolk.

    1) Nagrand mount
    2) drakes
    3) gold we all need gold right?
    4) Get my crafting professions up to 375 ( JC / alchy / enchanting / Leatherworking )

Farming for days upon days for gear that will be rest at 71 when wolk opens, to me is pointless.

    Me too.

I know what the original poster means about focus and motivation though. I have 70+ days left on my RaF bonus, which I fully intended to use to level lots and lots of esoteric teams, but having gotten my first new team to 60 I really can't be bothered to level another set just yet.

I fired WoW up for a total of about two hours over the weekend, and even that was a chore.

It's part of the normal cycle of things though, and it's quite healthy. You'll find something to get you motivated again soon. Or not. Either way is good

For me, playing WoW is slightly less important than watching the television - it's a way to fill the time when I have absolutely nothing else to do. If you can find something else to fill your WoW time with, so much the better!
