Thread: Maximizer

    Default Maximizer

First of I used this thread (HOWTo - Set up Maximizer (Updated PiP)) and the video at Keyclone's website on how to set-up the maximizer.
After following all the tutorials and double-checking to make sure it's all squared and correct, I hit connect hoping to be flawless so I can start with the macro's. This isn't what happen.
I'm trying to dual-box, single monitor, single computer. Named the first region, region1 and the second region2. Simple. So I go to the Maximizer screen to set up my regions.
What I am trying to do is run two windows, split. My max resolution is 1680x1050. So I was going to run each of them at 1680x525. Region1 on top and region2 on the bottom. The problem is that when I hit ok, and go to connect, it'll launch both WoW windows but at windowed mode. Not in the mode I had just set-up in the maximizer window.
Did I miss a crucial step somewhere in some tutorial or am I just doing it wrong?

howdy Slane and welcome to the forums!

when you created your macros, were the wow fields enabled? they will only enable if you select wow.exe...
you do NOT want to select launcher.exe

let me know if that helps,

    Rob (keyclone developer)

I'm not talking about the macro's in-game, if that's what your are refferring to. And if your not, gonna have to explain that to me. What I'm having trouble achieveing is in the picture in the below link.

i actually meant keyclone command.. not macro, sorry.

those windows look about right. what's wrong again?

you mentioned they would show up windowed (these don't looked windowed)... if they are windowed, did you check the 'enable maximizer' button? did you specify wow.exe in the "program..." field in the command?

    Right, totally missed that.
While I have you, the link below is how it currently works. I did a search of the wiki, but nothing come up that sounded like it would help. But is there anyway to improve it look? Right now the text is barely readable, do I need to change anything in-game or continue to mess around with Keyclone settings to get a working look?

In Keyclone Maximizer menu what is the resolution to the right of the enable Maximizer check button. I had a similar problem for some reason my resolution kept resetting itself to 800x600. when I manually went in there and entered the value they should be I was golden.

I have the same resolution but have 3 windows. the top one spans the entire screen the resolution I used was 1679x524. Not sure why I went 1 short on the width and height. Each of your windows should be 1680x525.

you can type any resolution you want into the game resolution area, just make sure to follow the same format (no spaces.. little x in the middle)

i would recommend to make it the same as your biggest region, and all your other regions would be a multiple of that... this would keep the aspect ratio the same.

in your case, both regions would be the same size
