3 or 5 Shamans?

I currently have 3 shamans sitting at 60 that i levelled using RAF. I'm at the point where i could level 2 more to 30 and then gift thm up to 60. Would it be worth having 2 more shamans to complete the group of 5 versus 2 other classes being gifted up to 60? Is 5 better then 3 or is 3 still fun enough? My plans for them are 95% pvp being a 3s team and also BG's of course.

What do you guys think? I'm having alot of fun with the 3 of them but is 5 really that much better?

well, if you can get them all 'free' with gifted levels, i dont see a reason not to. I mean, with 5 u can do more damage, solo instances easier, do arenas, etc etc. I am leveling 5 right now, and will be gifting levels to a paladin for a tank for later on, but i plan on keeping em as 5 shaman for the immediate future, to see how far i get with em.

I tried the multiple class thing, and it's a separate type of challenge. Shamans have great utility, but have a lot of totems to manage, so for some, having a dedicated tank/healer can simplify a lot, but it gives you fewer options.

If i were to level 2 other classes i wouldnt be 5 boxing them. It would either be sticking with 3 shamans or going for 5. I was gonna make 2 other classes because i don't have one of either yet but then the thought of upgrading to 5 shammies now has peaked my interest. I would only want to run instances during the levelling process as well as questing.

I'm speaking about in pvp, is 5 way bette then three in bg's? And how much harder is 5 to manage then 3 in arenas?

I'd suggest mixing in a druid or something like that due to shaman totems not stacking the same way in WOTLK. But either way, the more the merrier up to at least 5, if you can handle it. You'll be able to fill in a whole instance run that way if you ever so desire to.

I'd go with a shaman and paladin for your 2 slots. It'll make it easier for you to do instances at 70. Also gearing 5x shamans kinda stinks. 4x isn't so bad.

I think "4 or 5 shamans?" is a better question.
Let's review:
- 2 characters: adds a lot of possibilities when questing
- 3 characters: adds some, but you can't really do much more content-wise compared to 2 characters. PvP will probably work, but I think you might miss that extra little bit of firepower
- 4 shamans: works very well in PvP, as you can one-shot people in some cases. 4 people is also a perfect number to defend a flag. PvE instances can be solo'd, however, PvE at higher levels requires a tank class, which you then miss. (e.g. for heroics, unless you enjoy kiting all the time)
- 5 shamans: are even more powerfull in PvP, but I would personally add the 5th account to level a tank, so the 5th account would serve mainly to give easier access to PvE and allows you to engage in more content of the game.
