Default Target not in front of you?

How do you guys deal with the fact that sometimes your clones when on follow are not facing the correct way when an enemy is close to you and moving around?

I haven't found a surefire way to fix this problem other then to move away and get the clones to follow, however if I turn on the spot they still face the wrong way and you have to do a big circle.

Any faster/easier way to do this?

The running around to aligne everyone is indeed not an option when a mob is chasing you.

You may want to set a special hotkey for "Backwards" on all of your toons. Then, all you need to do is face the alts with you main, press that key, and every character will move away from the mob, ready to shot.

This works pretty well for me.

I found the idea for that reading the Formations & Spread out thread. Not exactly the same problem, but closely related.

P.S. First post here by the way. Great forum. I'll try to find time to describe my setup in another post.

I may try that but I'm not certain if that will work well on the fly

keybind strafe left and turn right on a couple..and strafe right turn left on the others..you will be turned around very quickly and you can drop totems or instants as ya go...
I use q and w so that its close by and easy to use ...other hand for spells simultaneously...Its also a nice work around for those quick melee bursts when they happen...rogue catform behind moves etc...
backwards is fine too..lol...but tricky in pvp you'll hit LOS much faster with a strafe circle

I don't quite get how you would do this? You mean bind each of the 4 slaves to strafe left, strafe right, move right, move left seperatly? That just doesn't make any sense to me

another idea is to....strafe right/left with your alts then....number 1 key(attack) to pull up the target your facing or near. Then cast on NPC. BTW i love the BACKWARDS idea as well....I am going to use center mouse button for that as my hot key.

This discussion really ought to be in the support forum, not in the macros and addons forum unless you have a specific macro/addon suggestion or question.

Well I think it really is a macro that is needed though. I was given some good input on this one as well and I thought about it myself a little more and a I think a combo of keys/macro is needed:

    1) Keybind two keys for turn left/turn right on your followers, but have these keys disabled on your main .

    2) Use a spread out formation macro before the melee gets to you, in order to help face the proper direction.

Only drawback I see to this is if you use the "leaderless" macro method like I do if you switch leaders other then your normal one, the original main will not turn and your current main will turn when you don't want him to.

Hehee couldn't find the thread for a bit there...
okayz..so heres how you get your characters to run in tight circles in opposite directions...
you have to combine 2 movements...strafing and turning in opposite direction...so you press 2 keys at once.
My setup..in key binds for all chars i assign Q with strafe left for 2 chars and strafe right for 3 chars
then ......in key binds for all chars I assign W for turn right on ^ these2 and turn left on ^ these3 chars...

Holding down both Q and W at same time makes them circle in opposite directions at a fast running speed in a very tight circle...and tends to pull a good number of your group away from normal melee swings and back stabbers
its a charm for things like...stoneclaw... 1/3 circle...tab...chain lightning..fire nova totem...tagging most mobs and pvp players in the vicinity and taking them down..
then of course using the char focus assist/follow button concentrates remaining spells and melee on whatever is left standing...

hope this clears it up a wee bit
    PS...
Its kinda funny to have 5 lvl 10's circling a 70 and lasting those extra 20 secs cause the leet noob ganker is dizzy laughing n off target...makes the inevitable amusing...lol

Anyone know a way to broadcast Mouse Buttons to other instances? I have 2 open buttons on my mouse that would be perfect for turning my characters around.
