With Wrath so close and the cost around $500 for the whole family and my boxing accounts to upgrade...just couldn't spend the money on new RAF accounts and transfer fees. The mount, yeah, nice for bringing in extra business but really, the 300% xp should be upon toon creation and "link" to another beginner toon on anyone else's account or really as long as you are appropriately grouped up (no high levels). So in the end $$ = extreme power leveling advantage. It's a big shaft to those that already recruited friends and family into WoW...long ago.

I still don't see how you can say that. I, just like you, have recruited friends and family pre-RAF, yet I, like you, are afforded the same opportunity to use RAF as anyone else. So saying that this gives those who already recruited the shaft is incorrect. You chose not to utilize the new benefits.

That is like saying that I should get some kind of benefit for leveling my characters when the game was first released, because back then we didn't have as many quest choices, spells, or abilities, and the game wasn't as finely tuned, so it was more difficult for us to level......That is illogical thinking.

On That note I want free Arena gear for grinding two toons to Knight Captain before pvp was a free gear give-away.

Edit: I'm totally being a smartass with that pvp comment, please don't take any part of that comment seriously.
I levelled 8 toons total to 70 pre-RAF and 3 of them were pre-20-60 v.2.3 nerf.

The RAF program was good in intentions and the mount (which does not affect game play) is a nice bonus for bringing in new blood into wow. Blizzard has always been against (to my knowledge) having real money give anyone an in-game advantage. Thats why you will not see epic armor loot or weapons come out of the TGC card game, it's all cosmetic and fun stuff, like that cool rocket mount, the Spectral Tiger. None of those things give anyone an in-game advantage.

However...quickly acquiring an army of level 60's does give people an in-game advantage over those who don't have access to the 300% bonus xp. Unfortunately I was enjoying wow too much and got all my family and friends into the game already and they are all still faithful subscribers.

In the end I don't think Blizzard realized how many people would start multi-boxing/dual-boxing just for the RAF bonus. This whole RAF thing has really rubbed me the wrong way since I've been a good customer and have brought Blizzard many other good customers and I still can't participate in the 300% xp fun. Sucks.. But I still enjoy wow and want to be able to afford Wrath when it first comes out so I'm having to say no to RAF.
