Thread: BOXCON 2009

    Default BOXCON 2009

I thought i might float an idea i have had in my head for a little while now. And that idea is "BOXCON 2009" Seeing that blizz runs a yearly (?) arena match ups why cannot we do the same thing? (Well there are probably a lot of reason why could not, but that is not to be discussed here :P)

I am sure sponsorship could be gained to help with costs etc, i am pretty sure i saw a brand new and spiffy banner on the home page....hint hint. and blizz may even want to come to the box party.

I for one would fly from Oz to be part of this, and i would even pay for my healer friend to fly so she can join in the action.

i thought of matchs could have the follow guidelines

    2v2: dual-boxer only.
    3v3: tri-boxers only
5v5: boxer + friend? or just simple 5 teams?

so what do you think? good idea or should i get back to work and actually earn my pay-packet for once?

When they bring up the Tournament Realms or Test Realms we could hold tournies on there and give away prizes that would probably be the easiest route. Everyone would have the same gear as well. Shall see what happens when the time comes~

Wouldn't shaman vs shaman box team be a little to based on luck ?
I mean, that's what the majority of the boxers play.

    Oh god yes.

Running a weak 5's comp to the general public, but my comp is the anti shaman group. A guarentee to run into shaman groups of 4 -5 ontop of eachother = WIN!

Not sure about tournament stuff but I really like the idea of a multi-boxing convention. The only thing is we are all pretty spread out. For me to be able to attend it would have to be somewhere like St. Louis, Nashville or Atlanta.
