Dual boxing druid/warlock

Hello!

im kinda new to this multiboxing thing :-)

my chars are corrently level 51 warlock and the druid is 50

what ive done so far is resto with the druid and afli with the warlock, now here comes the question...

it looks to me thats destro specc with improved life tap would work very nicely but i have no info input on this whatsoever... so if any1 could give me some input on this i would be glad to hear it

ive also heard many say that i should respec the druid to balance, but if i do so. then i will turn out going oom, and need to have downtime..

if any suggestions is welcome!!

I've only played a moonkin to 40. Solo it is out of mana very quickly. However there are talents that can improve the mana situation a great deal, I imagine you would have all of them at 50.

When I teamed the moonkin with a similarly levelled Shadow priest mana issues weren't too much of a problem. So a warlock moonkin would be quite a good combo.

I think it could work well destro. Shadowbolt opener on mob, entangling roots with druid.... rinse and repeat. No dot damage to break the root.

Affliction locks would have no mana issues - dark pact the imp, lifetap when necessary and have the druid heal. This would free up the druid a bit more to bring some DPS to the table.

I would definitley recommend trying various builds. The beauty of multiboxing is that having another character along for the ride, can help smooth out the weaknesses of a class, and it's possible the advice you were given is from a soloing perspective.

well i dont realy want to spend any time at drinking at all, but at the same time have an reasonable amount of dmg...

as u say boomkin goes oom pretty fast, but the only benefin that i can realy see from beeing a boomkin is the extra crit chance for the warlock, that might help him with the crit chance for a destro build :P

but i fail to see how that talent specc would survive the long term without going oom...

if u could help me out sorting that out, then i would be glad to hear it



u sayd, SB and the druid rooting... but from there i guess u just meen the chars should ahve been spamming SB and Starfire?

wich will leave both of the chars oom pretty fast... atleast the druid would have to drink pretty much all the time :P

Personally I would play them as you have them.

Affliction warlock and resto druid.

I would have the resto only there to pop heals on the warlock. The lock would be drain tanking 3 - 4 mobs at a time.. and the druid would pop a heal on the warlock if needed. It might be that the healing could mean the warlock could pick up more mobs to drain tank, so upping your damage.

I soloed a lock and Pre 60 with no spell damage I was drain tanking 3-4 mobs no problem, and with no breaks between pulls. Outlands was a different matter entirely... I switched to felguard.

If you are happy with that then don't worry about respeccing to moonkin.

I am running a Warlock + Shaman and after experimenting with several setups, I ended up going affliction + resto. The warlock + pet can handle several mobs at once and when you manage it right, you rarely have any down time. The shaman can still toss out some LB, especially on single mobs. But having the extra survivability and mana effiency of resto helps a great deal.

A big problem I had with going elemental was pulling agg from the warlock and pet with my shaman. On 3+ mobs this got to be a real pain since I had cases where they all had one or two mobs on them.

I am not sure it is the fastest leveling pair, but seems to work out pretty well. One thing I would like to have that druids have is all those instant heals so you don't even have to stop running. This is all pre-outlands, I may look at using a felguard once I hit 60.
