Default Loving it! / Quick question!

    Hey All!

I've only been a member here for a little while, got the info i needed to start up, I have successfully 2 boxed Karazhan as a pally tank and a affliction warlock and that was fun as hell! I recently decided to start boxing 3 shamans in pvp so i am currently in the levelling process. I am at 46 and i must say i am LOVING it! This is gonna be so fun once i start hitting the higher levels and getting some sweet gear! THanks for all the info and help getting to where i am. I will keep you guys posted but i can see that this is gonna be really fun!

Quick question, when you have 2 (or 4) shamans following a lead shaman, what do you do when the main one dies? Are all of your macros dependant on the main shaman living or should i check into some new macros?

the basic macros would be the simple /assist and /follow macros...

the next level of macros normally use focus for targeting and require you to create a macro for each targeted spell.
    ie:
    /cast [target=focustarget] fireball

then you just set your focus to the appropriate character. i have 5 macros (there is another macro that switches depending on who is alive... but i don't have that handy). so, if your group had jjoe, sam, and fred in it... you'd have these 3 macros on each character... assigned to the same keys:
    macro 1: /focus joe
    macro 2: /focus sam

    macro 3: /focus fred

if joe dies, hit macro 2 and control your group (now only sam and fred) from sam's screen. if you conbine with with keyclone's pip, then hitting the key for macro2 would also trigger the pip swap.. swapping sam's screen with joe's

    i hope that helps,

    Rob

This really should be in a forum that doesn't have "Not For Support" in the forum title/description. I'm sure there'd be plenty of good answers there.

I suspect the problem is that the subject for your post doesn't tell people anything about the content. That and the fact that you're asking a "newbie" (in the non-offensive use of the word) question in the general forum - something that really does tick the old-timers off.

The answer to your question, as KC illustrated, is that there's no reason for your team to stand around doing nothing once your "main" (and that's a concept to get away from...) dies. There are several ways to achieve this, and everybody has to find one they're comfortable with.

Resources you will find useful include: search for "main dies" (including quotes) and the No Focus Manifesto.

    Enjoy.
