I'm sure the original author could use some help.
How... I don't know.
Actually, the thing that help me the most is recommended zones/quests for level 21+
What areas have the best quest nodes with fewest (i.e. none) gathering quests?
I've been reading people's suggestions in other threads and will look into those. Others are encouraged to share their coveted leveling areas :)

I've just finished polishing the first 2 sections of the guide (eversong and ghostlands). Does anyone have a good place for me to host them?

Thank you for this excellent guide.
I've actually got a quick questionI downloaded Tour Guide yesterday bc I saw someone created this wonderful guide for Tour Guide. Now, I've never used TG before, but I love love love it. I got the guide addon from this thread and downloaded it but when I get in game and go to load it, I can't find it... Is there a specific place I'm supposed to extract it to? I mean, other than that WoW/Addons folder?
Thanks! And btw, absolutely terrific guide and I can't wait to see more!! Oh, and maybe Ashenvale might be a good area to go to next? I mean, minus the Satyr Horns quest (it needs to /die lol) the naga heads are a guarenteed drop, and the Ashenvale Hunt quest is super easy, not one you can actually go pick up but if you go and kill the 3 mobs you get things that begin the quest and turn them all in and then turn in a quest for a sta/ap cloak. And even tho the droprate on some of the Warsong Supplies can suck, the blue you get from it is definitely worth it!
Hope that helps a little

I have hosted the guide on my old geocities account.
http://www.geocities.com/ehterritory/guide/index.html
EDIT: LOL geocities just went down for maintinence. What timing!
All future updates to it will be presented there instead of here. On the forum image size is limited, I am limited to 10k characters per post (reached quote easily), and my formatting is limited. Also it's easier to just put it in html, than to format with forum bbc codes :)I am going to get TourGuide right now, and then make a thorough tutorial for it's installation and use... once I get it working myself ;)Originally Posted by 'Ellette',index.php?page=Thread&postID=110812#post 110812
My the way, I have changed around a few things in the Ghostlands, so that guide will not be 100% the same as the written guide (though I suppose that doesn't matter since you'd be following the tour anyway, not the notes)
Thanks for the ashenvale tips.

Dude, seriously keep it coming!... IMO this outdoes Joana's guide ( which is the most popular guide, and has been for years )... I'll be more than happy to donate once I see some more progress.Originally Posted by 'Mendicant',index.php?page=Thread&postID=110946#po st110946

Thanks man, that's really encouraging to me :)Originally Posted by 'sqeaky4100',index.php?page=Thread&postID=110967#p ost110967
Today I messed around with TourGuide. I made a tour for part of Eversong. Entering in certain quests are tricky and I find it sometimes likes to premature advance the tour. In the process, I took a test group through the first part of Eversong, since all my other groups were past that point. I realized that a few parts are clumsy, so I changed the quest order slightly, removed one quest, added another... so that portion should be better than ever.
At this point I'm sort of playing catchup... having to re-write everything in TourGuide. I was on the fence whether or not to actually use it, but I think I'll go with it. The pin-point accuracy of the minimap trumps my map :) Of course I'll still do both versions. Really the formats aren't all the difference since I included every single step in my methodology.
As for new content for the guide: I have 7 groups I am leveling. 4 of them are up to or past the portion I have written so far. Once I get the last three through, I'll be able to start pumping out new material, especially since I only need to get 3 groups to level 23.9 so as to be ready for RAF-bonus-level-boostage... meaning once I get them there I'll have a lot less to "worry" about.
Anyway, it will be worth the wait. Each new portion will be just as good as the last portions I have published, so be patient :D

Hey Mendicant,
I noticed in the thread you had posted that you started messing with TourGuide and were working on Eversong. A few posts up, I had posted a temporary link to the version of TourGuide I was working on. It has all of Eversong done, and I added exact coordinates for completing quests to make it as simple as possible for others to follow. I ran through that section on a new set of characters, and all worked well after I made my final tweaks.
I've created a project on github: http://github.com/wougoose/tourguide
This way, other developers can collaborate and fork it easily if they want to help out. You can also download the fresh version of the addon there by clicking download, renaming the folder to TourGuide after downloading, and extracting to your addons folder. Or, if you so happen to know git (or want to learn), you can install git for windows (http://github.com/guides/using-git-a...ws-for-newbies ) and just pull down the project right into your addons folder. Let me know if you need help and want to learn about git hehe
Hopefully you haven't duplicated the effort, as I spent a good few hours learning the TourGuide syntax and getting your guide converted over
Also, I am a rails developer at my full time job and would be more than willing to build a nice site for hosting the guide. I was actually planning on starting a project to assist with developing guides, and it looks like this might actually create the need for such a project. I could even go as far as creating an export functionality with would export to a chosen guide to TourGuide. That could potentially save us a few hours...I'll get back to you after some brainstorming.
