That may be true, however, it is the GM's *job* to not say things that go against official policy, regardless of how they feel about it.

Accountability is a two way street - they hold us accountable to not break the rules, but we have the power to hold them accountable to do their jobs correctly and *fairly* - that's what the feedback e-mail is for.

I'll be the first to say every GM I've ever encountered has been very cool, friendly, and efficient, and never had a single problem with my MBing. If a GM said that to me, I would definitely e-mail the feedback address about it, number one to get an official clarification, and two, to alert the supervisors if there's a training issue. And let it drop there - it's not worth going further than that.
