Been doing cath for a while, too :P

I'd like to point out that Skullflame shield ( http://wowhead.com/?item=1168 ) is kinda must-have for the pally, since it scales with +spelldamage. The drain effect actually gets 100% of it. So with this shield, I'd say spelldamage should be your top priority stat :P

I haven't got that much spelldamage (480 atm :p) but the shield drains 535 (couple of talents affecting this, Crusade and One-handed specialization I think) health every time it procs. The massive amount of mobs hitting you makes this happen quite frequently, and that's what makes the shield really good :P

Oh, did I mention the aoe fire spell proc? Yesh.. it has that, too. Just a little sugar on the top. Does about 100 damage to everyone around with my spelldamage. Feels almost as if this shield was designed with AoEing instances in mind :P

I'm using this build when powerleveling:
http://wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIx0zxxVZVbxdbczb
I've gone halfway into retri for some extra consecrate damage (Crusade, Sanctity aura, Imp sanctity, that's 1,03*1,10*1,02 which is about +15,5%)
Seal of command with a 2h weapon is good to have to finish bosses :p (takes a while with a onehander)
Also, I COULD take some points from reckoning to spend elsewhere, since it's still quite likely to have it up at all times, but I'm doing fine as it is.

I use sanctity aura, blessing of sanctuary and righteous fury. If you don't have sanctity aura, use retribution.
BoSanc is a must have, though. It reduces your damage intake by a lot, since the damage you receive comes from many sources, rather than just one, each of which will be reduced by an absolutic value.

What I usually (always, actually) do, is park my crew halfway into the first hall, and have my paladin do a clockwise run around the courtyard pulling everything, then returning to the first hall right next to the courtyard-side door so all the casters have to come next to me aswell. Then I pop my trinket and avenger's wrath, and consecrate yay. You may want to use seal of light if you don't have skullflame shield (or have unlucky drain procs :P), by the way. When the mobs start running away (they usually head towards the entrance), I go into the doorway so the casters won't have LoS on me again, and finish them off with yet another consecrate when they come back. Casters might do a few AEs on my crew on their way back, but they don't hurt that much.

Then I take my crew next to a bench outside the cathedral near the doors, go inside and kill everything with consecrate. If you DIDN'T know, pulling Mograine aggroes all the mobs in here so no need to do any running. I pull them next to the door just in case, so I won't miss any exp due to being out of range. Nothing special here though, since there's no LoS to worry about. I use a 2h mace with seal of command to kill Whitemane and Mograine :p I won't bother killing Fairbanks, since he's such a fair guy.
Then I repeat.

Yes, my crew doesn't do anything, apart from the xp leeching. Doesn't seem to be necessary :p I rarely need any heals and never (so far) have to use bubble.

And now for some tips :P :

  • * When pulling the outdoor mobs, try to face them as much as possible while running. This way you'll block, parry or dodge most of their attacks (and that's good :P). I usually do this by strafing sideways and jumping all the time, then turning to face the mobs in the air.
    * When you're pulling the outdoor mobs, and are next to the cathedral doors, you MIGHT want to take a shortcut and leap over the staircase "fence" next to the big tree. Don't do this. This doesn't happen always, but occasionally some mobs will stop following you and return to their original place (Not as if I didn't have enough health to pull them again, it's just frustrating and time-consuming :p)
    * When you get hit by a frostbolt or slow, cleanse it. Don't use blessing of freedom, since you want to have sanctuary up at all times :P
    * Remember to use your spelldamage trinkets and AW :p

Some statistics:
  • * My first 4 characters took 24 hours played to level 40 this way (I did 1-8 with the aid of a *cough* hunter pet *cough*, 8-10 in RFC with paladin, 10-25 in SFK, 25-40 in SM) without any rested (OKAY FINE, maybe I did have some, about half a level at max). Also, I idled a few hours :p
    * One cath run takes about 10 mins, about half of which is looting. It's good money, though :P. Also, if I didn't loot them, the 5 instances / hour limit would hit me bad.
    * My consecrate ticks for 210 with AW and trinket :p

Erm, that's all I guess

Ack, gotta hurry now, probably forgot something.
