Sorry I have to disagree, you can get your whole arean gear for all 5 chars by losingOriginally Posted by boxer

I'd spec POMPyro which even in a 2 Pally situation means you can instagib one guaranteed, the second isn't likely to survive long, and using focus macros for sheep I already have poly x2 down wth my 3 man team, I doubt it would be easy to keep track of four sheeps, but 2 is doable....
So pom pyro the pally # 1
Burn down # 2 and then take the focus fire down the line...
Frost nova, they trinket, frost nova again... you have 4, they dont.
Disclaimer: About 90% theorycraft as I'm NOT a huge pvp player, I'll learn a crapton when I get my team to 70th, I plan on 3v3 by myself, 5v5 with my girlfriend (priest) and another buddy (pally)... I hope to see the 2 pom pyro mages + 3 healers as an incredibly durable team.

they will fear, stun, heal/crossheal, interrupt your spells, dispel etc etc... your theory craft fails :P
Coffee Resurrects.
Also if they get a "lucky" all timers are up in the beginning grounding totem, cloak of shadows, pally bubble heal, etc - your first salvo is useless. Sure, you can play around this - drop a single instant spell first, don't target the rogue first, mass dispel, etc. Not to say that it is impossible but in a situation where you lose if you fail to beat them in the very first salvo AND the game now has plenty of ways to deal with said burst damage.... it doesn't stack up favorably against a 5v5 team. 2v2 might be possible to do very well at with the right team, the right metagame and the right practice/gear. 5v5s are, at the higher level, quite more difficult than might appear on the surface - especially with the higher life totals and new spells and abilities.

I was thinking 2v2 would be much easier to manage in the arena's. A simple two box setup. However, the more and more I read lately about the next expansion the more I cringe. I dont know if I want to play again if they nerf you every year. It's as if Blizz cant think of any way of adding expansions other than increasing the level cap.Originally Posted by Xzin

My main is Aelli, also play as Aellii / Aellei / Aellie.
To sum up how fun it is in the BG's multiboxing this was an awesome screenshot I took of a team that fought me and after 2 of their players instantly died from an NS/EM/CL combo, they sat there whining and gave up

I've been having a lot of fun in the Arena's and it's such a great change from when you first hit 70 to now. I'm trying to fraps some of the action but it kills my FPS and I really need it in time critical fights.
My 2v2 is at 2248 rating at the moment, which really doesn't count because I have some friends helping me out
On the 5's I just made a brand new team and I think we are like 15-3. Just kind of busting through all the easy fights. I'm going to push this team as high in rating as possible. I'll let you guys know how it goes, but to all those theory crafting. It really goes out of the window once you hit the live action.
