I think somebody started a thread some time ago about changing attitudes towards multi-boxers over the past 6 months or so, and I've certainly noticed it.

When I first started multi-boxing WoW in April 2007, I got an uncomfortable amount of hate and attention, even on a PvE server, where what I'm doing has very little affect on other people.

In the past 3 months, I think I've had ONE negative whisper, and that was just an indignant "cheater!!!!!", the sender of which was quickly enlightened.

Basically, the anti-multi-boxers have done an amazing PR job for us by continually making inane threads full of asinine arguments that make them look like rabid lunatics while we're all perfectly rational and sensible individuals (*cough*)

Yesterday i log in my 11x5 druids and 5 mins in a guy sees me and starts msging me that im a faggot, which... i'm not... i understand fags... cause women are friggin insane.. but i have no desire that way...
Anyway.. he goes on to tell me how im a jew that should die in a oven.... and while im not a jew, and don't hate ovens persay i did report him..hope a gm enjoyed it

Pretty much. I saw a thread in general the other day that said we're all 12, our parents are paying for our accounts...and that we are leveling the characters with RAF to sell off. You can't buy that kind of raving lunatic PR

I don't get it, if our parents pay for our accounts, and were 12, what use do we have to sell our accounts for money? I mean, Booze and women really aren't priorities at 12.

lol so true, cause all of use just did boxing without knowing the game. I got my first hate guy yesterday in AV. We where losing pretty badly. We took bal down and the gy next to bal. Then the alliance push got the gy back and killed my team. The gy where i spawn was the one next to the base. I kept wiping on allies cause it was 10 of the and only 5 of me. So there was a horde on his mount that just kept yelling "YOU FUCKIN LOSER", i whisper with my main, which isn't a zag, and said why don't you unmount and fight, but he said i would if they leave. Then he kept on saying that the boxer sucks cause he keeps on dieing. Best part is when someone said well at least he is trying and i don't think that you can take on 10 allies either. So at the end of the AV i was pissed, not cause i lost or cause i was loser, just because he didn't fight. So i was like screw him, i'm going to give him a 48 hour band, so i reported him 5 times saying that he was swearing in av. I log off for a couple and log back on with just my main and get a whisper from a gm, when i was talking to him he said that he was looking into it as we speak.

Public We consider language to be public when said in the "General" and "Trade" channels as well as with the "yell" command. Since comments in these forums are visible to the largest number of players, we take harassment in these channels very seriously. Abuse of language in these mediums will receive at least the penalty listed above, if not additional repercussions.

So sense he was yelling it, it makes it worse... lol, so call me a bot, loser, or i suck, but if you don't play you get reported 5 times... beat he was pissed with his suspension.

I get them constantly when I'm running dailies. Usually from low level alts. I find way more people are curious and think its cool then give me any sort of grief.

The "get a life" thing really bothers me. Not hurts my feelings, but bothers me. Like when the cashier can't figure our my coin change in their head. It especially bothers me when they player hating is in raiding gear. Wait, you are a raider and you are telling me to get a life. I know a lot of folks here raid, and that is cool. But I have raided in every dungeon in the game except Sunwell 25. That is how I ended up here. You spend 3 hours a day farming gold and doing dailies so you can afford to raid :/ I actually liked the 40 mans, can tolerate the 10 mans but loathe the 25 man raids. I'm not sure why but while the raid is going on I just sit there mashing buttons and hating the whole process.

I just wish they could come up with something better than 'get a life'. Dissing a MB'er for inefficient use of time is like chumping someone for having nice, white teeth.
