I have mixed feelings about what I just read :P
I got my first hate sometime around level 12 or so. I got my first "thats so cool" shortly after. The hates seemed to stop around the 30-40s, except for the occasional /slap now and then. The really interesting thing I've noticed is that I seem to attract followers on both sides. When I was in Tanaris a horde came by, circled me a couple times and then left after I waved. Maybe 1 minute later he came back with two more horde. They collowed me for a while and watched as I did some questing and then left. For the rest of the time I was in Tanaris, random horde seemed to be showing up to just watch. They didn't do anything but watch, so I assume they were curious though I will admit I get a littled weirded out when people follow me, especially horde since I play alliance and can't do anything but emote at them.
As for alliance players, I get asked so many questions about how I do it, if its legal, and my favorite "do you need more than one account?". I try to respond to them and I always point them here, but it does get tiring if I am trying to get a quest done or want to head somewhere. The one really strange thing is that most people think I only have 4 characters. I wouldn't think too much of it if my guild name wasn't "Five Times the Fun".
I have had a couple alliance telll me that I'm the first multiboxer on the server they know of. Not sure if it's true, but I definately draw a crowd.
On the whole get a life thing, I am always amused that people assume we play more than they do. I think they end up multiplying the time we play by the number of characters or something. As for my personal experience, I get a lot more done multiboxing than I ever did when I was raiding and playing more hours per week.
