I like the new cinematic as well. Sure, It's different from the original WoW and TBC, but I don't think it's very different from the other ones they've put out (e.g. SC, Diablo II, WC3).
I like that they included the story on this one. In my opinion, the game is so vast now that including 4 or 5 small action scenes doesn't do it justice. This one has more of an epic feeling to it.

It's Arthas' father speaking... and, he's dead (by Arthas' hand no less) :P The genius of this whole thing is that it's the speech he was giving to him when he was a young, holy Paladin.
