Default Lots of anti boxing grief in WSG and AB

My Priest + Lock x4 hit 70 last week and we have started to do BG's. I have noticed that outside WSG and AB...almost all anti DB comments have stopped. But in WSG and AB....it is horrible. What their beef seems to be is that 5 players take 1/2 the team...and can only be in one place. We rarely are not the top in HK's, but that is not of interest to them. Not sure how I should react...I have tried doing different things in these two BG's such as flag, or defense, but nothing we do can stop the complaining. In the others EoS, AV...we are more or less accepted, just an occational anti DB remark. Anyone else feel they get the most grief in these 2 BG's?

Yes. Traditionally, multiboxing shaman do not perform nearly as well in WSG and AB as they do in EOTS and AV. This might be the root of this attitude.

since the thread starter is talking about 1priest+4 locks in wsg and ab... well...its about multiboxing in the end. any multiboxed team will be hated in wsg and ab for obvious reasons. but in eots if ur team has brains, it can be different. as for av...well...its a paradise to me :P

I was thinking that priest+warlocks might perform much better in WSG and AB than elemental shaman do.
Personally, I still have a lot of problem playing WSG and AB well, and I'm ~350 resilience and ~940 spell damage.

In my VAST experience in pvp with my 4x shaman (2 AB's) I haven't had any problems.

The first one was a good solid 20 minute battle for nodes, I held the mill alone, 5 levels below the alliance players, without any problem. The few times they made a concerted push I was able to fend them off and they quickly decided it wasn't worth their trouble to try and snag it. I also was welcomed by the other players, I'm not sure they realized what was going on at first but in short order they were cheering about how much ass we were kicking...

The second was a pretty absurd 5 cap. I had leveled to 59 at this point and we took 4 right off the bat, the 5th was an easy push and then we kept them pinned down in their graveyard... again, no one badmouthed me... Hopefully this trend continues, I enjoyed the BG's and really look forward to 70 for that reason.

I just tell them that I'll play defense in wsg and for everyone else to go on offense. If they don't want to listen I try and get them to go ten up ten down. If they still don't want to listen, I just go have fun and ignore what they say since they are just bad players in general that most likely don't ever cooperate with their teams and lose all the time.

I have yet to run any of my 4 and 5 toon teams through a BG. I can say that I have done pretty well with 2 and 3 toon teams. That being said I avoid WSG and AB like the plague. Honestly while I do not believe there is anything wrong with us running our teams through BGs, I do feel a bit against doing so in WSG. The teams are so small to begin with. I guess my main reasoning is the very fact like we say defending our hobby (5 toons controlled by 1 person isn't = 5 people controlling 5 toons). For this reason I feel that in WSG that we can hurt the other 5 players. I agree that technically a 4 / 5 toon team are great flag defense. The problem I see is where in AB and EotS you are are only take up 1/3 of the slots for your team, a 5 toon multibox group in WSG you are technically taking up 50% of the slots. I just don't feel right doing so. Because like we say to defend against the "QQ OMG one person is as powerful at 5 people", a 5 boxer thought powerful with Focus Fire is still no where as powerful as 5 individuals working together.

I hope this doesn't sound like a anti-MB reply because it isn't meant to be such. And in AV and EoTS I believe that Multiboxers are a great contributor to winning matches, but in WSG I just feel that honestly it in a way isn't fair for a 5 boxer to take up 1/2 of the team makeup while only providing say 75-80% of the ability. Hope that makes sense.

Pfft boxing in a pug group I would just follow what the veteran boxers say and just turn off the chat channel. Most of them go off to their own direction to farm kills for honor and dont really plan to try to win to begin with. They just have a easily spotted scape goat whenever a box team appears. If the idiots are losing with 9 other brainless players then whats the deal with you being half the team. No deal and do not feel dirty about it. Its business as usual for us. Go inside the bg's and collect your honor and gear and leave simple as that. They only care about their own goals as much as you do so nothing lost and everything gained to ignore them.

The problem though, is that boxers are forced into a lot of WSG/AB to get marks for their pvp gear.
