Lots of anti boxing grief in WSG and AB

Get used to people getting pissed at you in WSG and AB. WSG you're at a big disadvantage because 1 rogue, warlock or mage can basically keep 1/2 the team locked down. The map is very small - so people can keep respawning and run to you to repeat. Best bet is to just keep playing and ignore them. Eots you can rock if you're decent and AV you can own the place.

Flaming is something we must get used to when boxing, but that is one of the reasons i like to be in premade BG's with my IRL friends.

But i have a funny story that happened a week ago in AB, we lost but that is not what the story is about....
i am playing 4 allience shammans and was defending LM, with the 4 other bases capped to horde and the the other 11 ppl. trying to do
what they can to win, but among them was one whiner that said something like this when hordes resources reached over 1800.

"At least u did not bring 5 shamans to help us loose, wanker"

the morale here is, even when u are doing your job the best u can, u still get flamed.

When you fill up half the raid in WSG, you don't allow for a lot of variety among the other 5. With a random 10, you have a good shot at getting a druid, paladin, warrior, rogue, etc.. A good class diversity really helps in WSG for running the flag. From this assembly you might pick the 5 (or so) that go offense. By taking up 5 slots, you force the other 5 to be offense regardless of how well suited they are.

In WSG, you're also very inflexible. Let's say your flag carrier is nearing your tunnel while you're on defense. You can't very well send a healer and dps down the tunnel for escort while stopping someone else from sneaking off with the flag. At least not as well as 5 individuals can.

In WSG, you simply can't split your group and react quickly to the changing environment. You can't split your group to kill the flag carrier and kill the one guy chasing your near dead runner at the same time, for instance.

Of course, you at least are going to have a well executed bad plan, which is better than 90% of the players and their poorly executed bad plans.


For a full group of 5, defending one node isn't really enough. Defense should be about 3 people, with 2 able to move to another node to repel large attacks. A team that defends 3 nodes with 5, 5 and 5 will get wiped by an incoming 11 at one of those. If you're steamrolling nodes and moving beyond 3, then you're probably doing a good enough job as a 5 man in AB.

For marks, I plan on dual boxing pairs of warlocks in these two bg's.

I decided until Blizzard bans taking multiboxing groups into any BG, I'll just keep taking my 5 into any BG I damn well wish and ignore the BS. Blizzard makes us get particular marks for gear and I'm not running each one through a BG one at a time. The truth is most of the WSG & AB BG's suck anyway if you're not in a premade. I was in on my single priest last week and it was even worse than when I was in on my 5 shaman.

Step 4: Profit

I like to goof around in the 19 twink brackets with different combinations of groups and just get tired of the whiny people. I find the experience much more fun if you just turn of BG chat or run with guildies.

My strat for AB and WSG

I just run from node to node taking it and wiping out the other side at the flag, once the flag turns grey I mount up and move to the next.

WSG
I camp their GY and tell the noobs to kill people. Seems to work well. Imagine 5 guys spawning at their GY and seeing 5 fire eles with 5 shamans ready to roll.

in wsg or AB, you will be either the savior or the downfall of the team.

you are 33-50% of the team by your self, and your actions will have a direct relationship to the win / loss of the game.
When you f'up you will be blamed 5* as such
when you win they will be "meh" towards you.

Turn off BG chat and just enjoy the game.
