Default Should I grind or quest?

Questing seems like it takes forever.. havin to go thru the quest again for every toon to get the drops. Am I supposed to just be grinding? ?(

are you playing on one pc or multiple?

Just do Kill quests and easy gathering quest, those with high droprate.

If you play on one pc you can easily change your main and just do the gathering quests X5. Gathering quests that require you to kill mobs is grinding and questing at the same time

Break the monotony with some instances. Main thing is not to get bored with leveling.

well is grinding from 1-70 acceptable? (just for reference im running 3 locks on one PC) it just seems tedious to redo the quest for another one of my chars... idk :/

Grinding that much is doable, but will take a lot more time then it would to run instances. But because you are only running 3 you wont be able to complete many instances alone. So looks like ginding is your best option. Do all the hunting quests, and gathering is no big deal on 1 computer, if your gana grind anyways you might as well pick up quest drops while doing so.

It's doable, but most likely faster to mix and match the non-collection / easy collection quests into your grinding. Are your 3 warlocks Recruit-a-friend linked? If so you should have few if any problems skipping collection quests from 1-60. If you they are not RAF'd then you are probably going to want to do some of the collection quests along the way, take a look at which ones will open up xp rich quest chains. For an example the Stromguard horde series in Arathi Highlands has a step that requires you to collect x signets but in the end has some pretty massive xp boosts once you get beyond that step.

For 61-70 you're really going to have a lot of grinding ahead if you skip the collection quests and are not planning to group with your 3 x locks for instances.

Yeah if you want it to take months. Grinding with one character is already considerably slower than questing. Grinding with 3 - your xp is reduced to 1/2 or 1/3 per kill, so it will take even longer. The fact that you can pull multiple mobs and have less downtime doens't seem to outweigh the xp loss (I tried pulling a dozen at a time in outlands before drinking, was still too slow)

To put it in perspective. In the 60s, grinding with my group of 4 got me 35-40k xp per hour. Questing got me 85-120k per hour.

And to give you an idea of the xp per hour grinding solo. I got 32-37k xp per hour in the low 40s back in the day when I used to prefer grinding.
