WTF is up with arena

It seems so few people are playing 5s these days, that I'm guaranteed to play the same 1 or 2 teams over and over if I queue for 10 games or more in one session. And usually they are either 200 points above or 200 points below me. Getting decent games in above 1800 seems really hard, so I can't even image what it's like at 2k+.

My team has queued at prime time, waited 6 or 7 minutes for a game, and then we get a 1400 rated team. And we were rated 1824 at the time. 5v5 is pretty dead.

I lol at the people that seem to be in wow for arena, and they measure everyone else against their ratings yardstick, as if we care or as if it really mattered.

Anyway, I've never been up against a single team that DIDN'T have S3/S4, and trust me, my ratings are in the pit because I'm a horrible PvPer with a grand total of 23 resilience.

I'm guessing you need to be in the negatives to start seeing people without full season 9999999 gear.

I hate it when it happens to me aswell.. But i tend to play some games on my shamans (3v3) and loose them all (really bad gear).. then use my warlock and a couple of friends to take the rating back to 1500-1600 for more points. leave+rejoin the next week and do it again.. that way my shamans PR drops to 1450ish, and can get points from up to a 1600 rated team.

My warlocks in mainly S4 gear now, with S3 shoulders etc.. 500 resi /1.2k dmg.. so we steamroll people from 1300-1500 with our healer dancing at the back, taking our 20+ points every game. It is annoying, but it's just the way the game plays.

At the end of the day, why would i take 230 points a week when i could take 350+... I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other people you meet with brilliant gear isn't doing the same. Oh, and yeah people will be boosting others ratings for S4 chests etc shortly. I'll probably be doing it to help out friends in the next week or 2.

you can suck with s3 gear and be below 1500. There really aren't that many teams with crappy resilience like before.

You mean if you're skilled and you only sport PvP Rep gear and some blue 5-man drops that you can break 1700 rating?

So you play your team from 1500 down to 10 losses per week, and keep playing that for minimum games?

I just buy a new 1500 team weekly even if I lose all 10 games, I would be down maybe at 1380 rating.
1380 rating @ 5v5 = 318 points. In 4 weeks, I would have S4 gloves.

So lets say I kept the team and lost another 120 points down to 1260 @ 5v5 = 291, so I'm paying 200g have around 300 points a week, instead of losing 27 arena points.

I mean, 200g a week from a 5-box doing daily is easy money and take less time compared to buying a new team and losing 10 games in the arena.

A Brutal Mail Gauntlet has 23 resilience, so that just doubles your indicated res doing minimal effort.

1850 rating with a new lvl 70 char. (With an exeptional partner ofcourse )

I leveled a rogue to 70 and the Time played this level: 0 days, 1 hours, 33 minutes, 48 seconds. Me and my mage friend went 1861 with the record of 29-5. In case you were wondering my stats are 7.9k HP 1591 AP 20.79% CRIT and 79 resil as SHADOWSTEP.

Why are they not focusing on this issue? With many games coming down the pipe one that focus on PVP one would think WoW would try to improve theirs. Guild wars got it down, why can't WoW.

They are, they are killing the arena team selling PR selling, and poitn selling.
It is much much harder to get free pts. Which was intended.

Ensuring that equally skilled players 100% of the time fight other people? Impossible.
They'll be in your 1500 bracket for a bit, and then move up.
You'll get your gear soon and be able to compete on a level playing field.


You're complaing about how you can't compete with people when you have no gear on the FOURTH SEASON. Come on, everyone else has been competingt for a while and have gear. Gear is the "entry" ticket to being compettive, which is why the pt diff below 1500 is so much less then above 1500.
