Default [LCD] Cheap Small Monitor for 2-boxing

I have a 20 inch LCD running at 1600x1200 on a rather old system. With medium video settings it runs great most of the time on my single box. I'd like to 2-box with my main char on 1600x1200 and secondary on 800x600 - both with everything set to 'low'. I've tested it on one screen and it seems to run well.

So I google'd the web trying to find a fairly cheap ~10 inch/800x600 LCD screen, but I failed, hence this thread. Please help me! I did find a few small screens, but they were touch screens or had other expensive features. (Although, in theory, pushing the screen to loot seems cool :P).

I know I could just buy a 15 inch, but then I'm more inclined to fork out a little more and get a larger widescreen so I can 3-box when I decide to get a new shiny PC.

PS. Just thought of a possible solution. In Keyclone I can set my main WoW to fill the entire screen and the second to fill out 400x300 of the corner. But, is it possible to have the second always on top? Even while the main one is active. (Edit with a pic)

There are very few to no small screens that are affordable compared to a 15" or 17". By affordable, I mean $50 or so. Most are as much as a cheap 15" or 17" - sometimes even more. More people seem to demand 17" monitors, which you can get for ~ $100. If you can find some 7" for $50, let me know!

I was looking for these for my initial set up as well. The only thing I found that was remotely close were LCD units intended for use as portable monitors for gaming consoles .

These cost about as much as an off-brand 19" monitor, though. And the Wii-mounting form factor would make them a real pain to work with.

I'd pay as much as $100, although since I live in Denmark prices are a lot different (about +50% compared to USA). So if you've found any - cheap or not - link it

@Bathtub: Found a few of those too. As you mention yourself: too hard to work with. And ugly..

Dell has a few cheap 17-19" widescreens for under $200. There comes a limit in LCD production where smaller does not mean less expensive when producing useful computer displays. 15-19" is about as cheap as you're going to find.. try to get a used monitor from someone looking to upgrade to something bigger, or buy an LCD with a broken inverter for $10-20, and spend the $20 to fix it yourself. If my mom can do it, you can do it.. just takes a $5 soldering iron and some patience.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

yes... keyclone does allow for a real-world picture-in-picture look... that also allows for PiP swapping. (the little region always stays on top)

check out my 2 region setup on the layouts page (link: http://solidice.com/keyclone/layouts/ ) using pip

Doubt it has any VGA port though.. LOL!

Good luck in finding one. Seems the best alternative is to either use just one monitor, or buy a new PC - the small monitors seems to be really expensive, couldn't find any here in Europe either.

Keyclone just gets more and more awesome! I didn't know this at all, to think of all the time I spent playing with both windows being small so I could see them both at the same time!

I've been away for the weekend, hence the late reply.

    Thanks, Keyclone! That's awesome news!

    @ x4rth: Sexy screen, haha
