Default Running out of gold.. need tips please.

So I started 5 boxing shamans a week ago, and my cousin gave me 100g to start on this server. Well I am now down to about 25g, and my guys are lvl 30. At this point I don't have enough gold to buy their mounts, and foresee me running out of gold completely by 34 after buying their new spells. Anyone have any tips for making gold while boxing instead of losing it all? I haven't made any unnecessary purchases, and am using all quest gear. I was thinking about working on some professions, but that would take time away from my leveling.

I thought about running sm graveyard once I hit 32 for chain lightning. I used to run that on my mage at 60 a while back for cash, and it seemed pretty decent.

Do you have mining/skinning or herb/skinning on your main toon? If not you're missing out on a ton of gold.

Don't buy anything at all, only train spells you need. Loot everything, vendor all trash, AH items a profession power leveller might buy, and pray for a twink BOE! I don't know many non-gathering professions that are profitable (or worth the time) at lower levels. You should have at least an enchanter in your group. Lower level enchanting mats sell for quite a bit and if youre running instances you should have plenty of things to disenchant. You might want to try mining/skinning as well if things are very tight.

If all else fails, dance for gold.

make your main a miner skinner, and do as many quests as possible where your skinning mobs or in the area of veins. Ah everything, and loot everything. At your level you could run some instances for cash and cloth drops which sell well, especially wool and mageweave, silk always seems to have a ceiling on the price the others don't have.

don't make you main a skinner make one of your slaves a skinner as you can highlight the dead body and macro the skin. You can free up the profession spot on your main for something else.

    Have all 3 gathering professions.

Do not go to the AH to buy.

    Sell EVERYTHING.

    When you reach 70, dailies.

    It's very simple.

All of the previous advice is good; the only thing you should be spending money on before 70 is training spells and mounts.

Farm lower level instances for BoE blues (like Mudd says). SFK, VC, BFD, and WC should all be farmable for you. Target instances that drop high-demand twink items. (If you can get Shadowfang to drop from one of the Sons of Arugal, you just bought mounts for everyone!)

Gathering professions. Do circuits of Dun Morogh mining copper; it isn't glamorous, but you'll make money steadily and you can do it in your sleep.

Grind and skin (especially once you get to heavy leather or higher).

Level herbalism on one toon. It is a drag and not terribly profitable early, but you'll make insane money with it when you get to Outland.

Stand around major cities and wait for people buying guild charter signatures. I have made about 30 gold this way so far.

If you get really desperate, you could sell VC runs. (Personally, I'd rather grind for hours than do this, but YMMV.)

A note for later -- I saved a ton of money by grinding to exalted with my home faction before buying my epic ground mount.

The easiest thing on a new realm with a new team: train enchanting with your main and tailoring with a slave. Have your main disenchant everything looted and everything created through tailoring, then sell the dust from enchanting. Especially the low level dust sells for truck loads of gold. I made 40g within an hour before I was level 10 doing this :-)

I just leveled a team and all I can say is: Only buy these spells and new ranks!!

    Lightning Bolt
    Chain Lightning
    Earth Shock
    Frost Shock (for the elementals)
    Flame Shock

    Stoneclaw Totem
    Grounding Totem
    Fire Nova Totem

    Ghost Wolf

That's about all you need for a five man team.
