This is what I do regularly after wiping -- just /follow LeaderName and head back to the instance.
When I lose just one character in PvP, sometimes if the GY is close enough I'll move him near my alive ones (who are busy drinking/eating) instead of rezzing. They are also able to /follow my alive characters.

RAF boosting was similar in mechanics to boosting normally (pre-RAF). Boosting normally was confirmed to be not an exploit, and RAF 300% bonus was confirmed to be not an exploit, and lastly (and most importantly) boosting + RAF was confirmed not be an exploit (by GM Syndri in the ORIGINAL thread about RAF in the customer service forums the same day RAF was announced). Most of us wouldn't have boosted if a GM hadn't confirmed the behavior was expected on day 1.
Almost a week later, they rescinded their comment about it being the expected behavior (Syndri's comment) and decided that it was indeed a bug. Many of us stopped boosting the moment we heard this, because none of us intended to exploit a bug in the system.
GMs confirmed that we could still utilize this behavior without being banned (until the "bug" was fixed), so that's why you see people doing it again -- or at least, doing it until the bug is fixed.
Anyway, the point is -- it's totally different from using a level 1 ghost to follow us around and give us 300% experience. Boosting + RAF was confirmed numerous times by GMs to be non-bannable (and indeed was at a previous point in time confirmed to be the expected behavior). Ghost-RAF'ing wasn't confirmed by the GMs at all.

All I do is when I die, I just type out /follow manually.
