Default having a small problems running 2 windows

So i am trying to single box 2 window my priest and my lock using keyclone and having quite a few minor annoying issues. I am just wondering if anyone has experiance/ has any suggestions.

    1) Dropping /follow and having to go back and "pick up" the offending caracter this is especially bad on epic land mounts

    2) on the 2nd toon movement interfearing w/ casting litterally i am having to stop and stand still for 1 sec to make sure the 2nd toon is not moving then start the spell w/ cast time ...(range issues as well but that is my learning curve)

    3) dropped key strokes to 2nd window .....or so it seems....hit 2 and pain goes up fine but corrup doesn't (making sure range isn't a issue and it is a instant cast so..... meh )

****finding out that a shadow priest and a lock are not as good of a match as i originally had hoped :? i may respec the priest to holy and just make him a healbot. Prob w/ that is that it really doesnt speed me up any because the lock already has 0 down time when grinding.

    1) it happens because of ping. You 2nd character while flying just lags a little and when it fades - 2nd toon looses follow because your main is too far away already
    2) it happens because of ping as well
    3) I dont understand what you mean... try to rephrase

1 & 2) Is there any way to at least reduce the frequency of it happening ? What is the common work around? Deal w/ it?

as for 3 basicly i am hitting the hot key (#2 hotkey) for pain (priest) and corrup (lock) and the lock doesnt cast prob 10-30% of the time. (very annoying)

    thx for the help

as for 1 and 2, I dont think there is any way to fix it, you gonna deal with it

for 3: it happens because of ping (o'rly?). I assume you use /assist while casting spells on your alt. Basicaly when you press a button your second character requests information about which target does your main target. Before that ofc your main must send info about his target to server.

    main's taret ==> server ==> 2nd character

it takes some time for your 2nd char to "understand" that your main changed target

only way to fix it is to target something and wait 1 sec before using spells at alt.

I use XPerl on the Toon I'm controlling, and when i use the /assist button, i make sure my other toons actually get my target before i start casting, otherwise they'll just stand there looking sexeh... hehe... But yeah, sometimes I'll hit the assist key and it won't do anything but I think that is because I have selected my target then immediately hit assist... Patience is a virtue, but lag just blows

    Ouch!

so ..... basicly i need to slow down LOL

no more of the "tab 123 dead, tab 123 dead,"

more like target & stand still (.5sec) hotkey1 pause hotkey2 etc etc

I can see why 5 boxing using mostly instant casts are prefered over 2 boxing w/ cast times.

maybe it is time to upgrade /grin

    afterthought:
Also all my /assists are written in the macro w/ the cast. Could that be a part of the problem? not having a seprate assist macro?

yep you should slow down and learn to target right targets at right time :P will come later with multiboxing experience

And not really, 5-boxers prefer insta casts only because they insta kill most targets or inflict heavy injures.

I have /assist in macros with spells, so no, thats not the problem.

I use /assist in separate keybind only when my warlocks cast drain life/mana and I need to change their target without interrupting spellcasting. Otherwise it seems pretty useless.

nah, more likely: target, wait .5, spam hotkeys. Ping affects /assist only when you change targets.
