1. I have copied the Original WoW folder and named it WoW2. (tried keeping the new folder next to the original AND also moving to my documents)
2. I then created a shortcut to the launcher (WoW2)and put the launcher on my desktop.
3. I double click the icon and Launcher starts up
4. Click PLAY on launcher and following Error occurs " Failed to open archive Interface.MPQ: The system cannot find the file specified"
5. what the hell am i doing wrong ??

Not a problem specific to dual-boxing

Do a scandisk.

Do a Virus scan.

Run the repair tool.

There is nothing at all wrong with the Wiki guide and there's nothing in your post to suggest that you're doing anything wrong other than jumping to conclusions.

edit: the only thing I do different to you is that I run wow.exe instead of the launcher, because I have KC launch and maximise my clients for me. I seriously doubt that makes any different whatsoever, but if you're stuck then it's worth a shot.

A) I used the directions on the wiki, and they were perfect. I'm 5 boxing, not 2 boxing, but I get the feeling that copying it 4 times doesn't somehow magically fix the failings of doing it once.

B) It sounds to me like you dragged your launcher to the desktop and not your shortcut.

OH! Good catch! It would be looking for the files relative to its own location.

I bet that's it.
