    Default RAF and Denmark

    Hi,

This is actualy a question for the danish multiboxers, i guess.

I went to the account management page to try out the RAF thingy, but it told me Denmark wasnt supported, while the rest of europe is. Why is that?

The quality of your bacon has diminished in recent months thus it is not possible to support you.

    Thats my guess anyway.

Maybe asking on Blizzard forums will result in an official answer, even better, contact support via your client admin panel!

That's down to Blizzard, not us here at dual-boxing. I did search on your behalf though, and there are lots of threads about this on the official forums.

    This one for example:
While we usually can't go into specifics about legal text and individual countries, I can mirror what others have said here already; Blizzard has no interest or intent to restrict the availability of this service based on countries or regions. We'd like to offer it to everyone, but simply can't.

Such restrictions on services, and also contest and competitions, are due to either a clear conflict with the laws and regulations of the country, or due to the laws and regulations being unclear or even non-existing (in which case we'd run a high risk of legal repercussions - we don't gamble with the law).
Cue "that's a load of BS - I know Danish law and there's no such restriction" from various posters, as on the official forums

On balance, I think I prefer the bacon theory.

I guess it's in Blizzards estimation that it's too closely related to multi level marketing to attempt it, fearing they'll risk a lawsuit. Note that it's probably more the fear of the cost of the lawsuit, rather than anything else, since they'll be highly unlikely to loose it, since it's fairly obvious that it isn't multi level marketing by definition of danish law (gaming hosts such as poker, casino often runs recruit a friend and affiliate programs which isn't against danish law). Most likely they just don't want to take any chances, which I guess is fair enough Danish readers can read up on the definition of multi level marketing ("pyramidespil") here:

In addition, there are literally hundreds of companies in Denmark, who uses "referal" style marketing - "get your friend to subscribe to magazine Y, and you can get this hyper-smarty eggcooker for free!"

I'm from Denmark myself, and since forum policy prohibits it, I'm not going to tell you how I got RAF working. (but I did)

I had to buy new accounts to do it, so now I haven't said too much. - and no, I have not violated any blizzard policies either, it just might be percieved as a gray-area.

I am a dane too. And its because of danish laws. To obtain this theres a purchase (gametime) involved and that is not allowed according to danish law.
