    Default 4x Hunter + Shaman / 4x Hunter + NE Priest.

Ok, i'm tossing around ideas for playing on my friends alliance server (SIGH) just for a goof off fun team. I already have a shaman team on my horde server and was thinking about doing some sort of hunter team. I was thinking of going shaman or priest as my 5th. The shaman would be great to have for the tremor totem but I was also thinking of going NE priest so I can shadowmeld x5 for pvp fun. Priests do have some fear ward but its hard to pass up a tremor totem. The plan is going 41 BM for the beast within 18 second fear immunity for the hunters. Anyways, I'd like to get some peoples opinions.

I have a 4xHunter and Shaman team and I have a level 70 priest. The Shaman outshines the priest by far. Grace of Air and poison, disease, tremor, mana tide totems rock.

I run Priest/Hunters and I suppose it all depends on which tradeoffs you're comfortable with. I really, really wish I had tremor totems (fear hoses me) but Prayer of Mending is amazing for PvE and AoE fear helps out in a pinch. Priest buffs are nice, but totems are probably better. My main beef is that Priests are so fragile compared to Shamans, plus they don't have a reincarnation equivalent. If I had to re-roll from scratch, I'd probably pick a Shaman for their survivability and totem goodness. However, priests are still a decent choice. Druids might end up being the best Hunter companion in WotLK. HoTs, Thorns and MoTW are great for pets, but the lack of res makes them untenable at the moment.

    Druid imo.

They look like one of your pets, they can stealth with you when you get camouflage at 80, they can shadowmeld, their hots are pretty simple and they don't have to be facing your guys all the time, and finally the new AoE HoT in wotlk looks amazing for multiboxing.

I thought about druid briefly but the lack of any castable fear protection is going to count them out for me.

I'm leaning towards shaman simply because of tremor and other totems. The main reason I was thinking priest is so I could get shadowmeld. AB and AV has a lot of potential fun factor with 5x shadowmeld.

    Both have good points

priest can aoe heal all party including the pets, When you do 70 lvl instances this is very nice.

PVP priest stam buff and fear ward on main is very good.

Hunters have 18 secs of non fear worries and priest needs to heal though that 18 seconds.

pve shaman has shield and can take more hit than priest but pets do not stay close to totems at all times.

Priest can also fear and when fighting undead shackel them

Only certain fears have been switched to horror effects. Not sure which ones but it isn't all of 'em.

Priest fears (talented in shadow) start off as a horror effect and then turn into a normal fear effect.

From watching Suvega play his priest in the beta, it's fair to say that a shadowpriest's horror effect will most definitely horror you out of range of your tremor totems before the actual fear effect starts. Be prepared to KOS any purplepriests.
