5th spot... paladin or another shaman?

My guys are only at 27 right now, I want to add a 5th. If you had it to do over again, would you go for more dps or an actual tank?

This is for instance running, hence the forum name. I'm leaning towards the paladin, input?

Me too. The paladin give you a lot of tools. It's a level of complexity but honestly, most of us multibox because we got bored :/

A 5 shaman team can blow through heroics faster than a tank healer and 3 dps. However, I think everyone should have a pally tank. They are great for boosting alts.

I already have a holy pally that I've been using for boosting (i tried prot, didn't find it as useful, 600 spell dmg +2 trinkets and wings = mega concecration), but it's on the same account as one of the shaman atm

so it's either: make a new pally to be prot, make a new 5th shaman, or continue leveling as is and transfer the one shaman off the pally's account later

catching up a new pally or shaman wouldn't be an issue, since I can 3 box with RAF and get it leveled with a trash character using my current pally



I think i'll go with a new paladin, so i can have some name synergy ^^

So, I added a paladin named Ewwtrolls. Two boxed to 10 with a throw away pally, headed off to SFK (yay no running on foot with RAF teleports ). Getting 1.5-2 levels per run, woot! Got locked out of the instance at 16

I'm going to use a death knight rather than a paladin in the expansion, they are much more fun. If that's interesting to you, you could level a 5th shaman, get all your guys to 55 and then you're set

I guess i have a luxury problem, but i got a def warrior, prot pala, and plan to roll a DK

I am not sure which i will use for levelling but most likely the prot pala, unless they get really really nerfed

I am really aiming at getting different tanks/healers for 10 mans

I have a 4 shaman 1 paladin team now, all 70. And i REGRET it i didnt took a shaman instead of a paladin.
Some dungeons are even easyer without the tank.

Believe me, pick the shaman. You can always level a deathknight in WotLK if you really, really need it.
