WoW - 3 minute fear ward discussion

This discussion was taking over another thread so I decided to make this so everyone can stop spamming that thread.

Current plan for new fear ward is every race gets it, it gets changed to 3 minute duration and 3 minute cool down.

well, in the next patch every priest will have fear-ward

iirc that fear ward will last 3m and has 3m cooldown

yes, I've heard the same

so you can only set it on one party member at the same time.
no chance for spamming it through your group except you got a 4x priest 1x warrior group

I so hope they change this ... my first 70 was a dwarf priest (was 2nd to 60, go troll rogue :wink: ).

I have no problem with horde getting FW, I have a problem with suddenly altering gameplay to that extreme. No reason to make Azeroth content harder just because TBC content uses different fear mechanics.

Boo hoo, alliance warrios have to learn to time berserker rage now. Looks like paladins and druids get shafted. At least fear ward+bubble+trinket is 3 fears paladins can avoid.

It all comes back if they can interrupt anything dangerous with the incapacitate they are getting, which I expect will be the new target of qqing in pvp.

I'm pretty certain you missed my point. Both sides get shafted if the current FW for All plan goes as is.

I'll admit having two alliance priest races with current FW was a real blow to horde come TBC launch. But we're talking boxing here, not normal gameplay, and if you can't understand how the proposed new FW blows chunks for boxing then I'm at a loss.

I made a point about my being hordie for a reason.

Yeah, horde get real shafted by gaining something and losing nothing.

The new fear ward blows chunks for everyone with a dwarf or draenei priest, just more so for boxers since we are more prone to fear. On the other hand it seems like most boxers are horde for wotf instead, so not so much.

Where did you make a point about being horde? Are you talking about your troll rogue?
