Default looking for help (probbably from skarlot)

    Hello all,

i've been multiboxing for a while now and found that some ... well.... lets be honest here, a lot of programs aren't exactley as helpfull as i want them to be.
i clearly want to state that I DO NOT WISH TO BOT!!
i've started working on a program that should make my characters movements easier.

i'll discribe what i have in mind.

i start the program (for the sake of easyness lets call it WoWControl) and it shows a white screen.
then i want for each active WoW to see the skills bar in WoWControl.

at the moment i'm running blood furnace @ 5x level 61's and it starts to need a little more micro organization.
so i want to see all their skills in 5 taskbars in 1 window... so far i don't have much... looked at DLL injection and stream reading, also learned a lot about memory reading but i don't know what i should do....

btw... the simple solution.... (lots of buttons with their skill on it that send a keypress to the right WoW screen) is not what i'm looking for because i already have that, i want to dive a bit more into the WoW data.

i've got some experience in pragramming in C# .NET 3.5 (been only programming for about 5 years now [edit:] when C# langauge just got released...)

what would be the "best" solution? and could i get a little help with programming? ^_^

hope to get a positive responce,
    many thanks,

The difficulty of what I've done is a far cry from trying to read action bar contents (I assume thats what your getting at). I havn't needed to know anything about what WoW holds in memory. The only people who may know that are probably not in Blizzard's good books!! I wonder if Blizzard would ban this if it were publicly released too. I am not going to spell out hooking WoW for you, but C++ would be neccessary no doubt. http://www.ring3circus.com/ is one site I found useful... has a good list of tools. 8o

thank you, will have a look

i know blizzard might not accept it but i'm willing to risk one account just to try it out, in the worst case i could always go back to stream reading (which is a hell to decipher)
changing stances really got bothersome lately :P

i'll get right onto learning C++ as i'll probably need it.

will keep in touch, thank you for the fast reply,

right, been looking at it, and i got a new idea, through a dll proxy i could draw extra buttons on 1 WoW screen, those buttons could be used to send keypresses to other WoW screens.

the (new) idea is now to have 1 WoW screen with several lines of buttons so i could, again, control all my characters with more ease.....

    thoughts?

(btw, *cough* learned how to read WoW memory, almost deciphered the action bars)

yeah i mean you can catch keys n clicks fairly easy within WoW via subclassing.

you seem to know what to do anyway 8o
