    Default Good combination or no?

Hi, I was wondering if druid + mage combo is good for dualboxing. I am mainly looking to level them both to 70 then transfer the mage onto my main acct so I only have to pay for 1 acct. Leveling both at same time for the 3x exp and I'll have 2 70's as a finished product

    Thanks!

ps - i picked druid and mage because I really like them and I've alwayed wanted those. Anyone have any tips for this combination?

Its a great combination if you ask me. Go balance with the druid and frost with the mage and you should take stuff down before it gets close enough to hit you. That and the +5% crit from the druid in moonkin form would make for some nice dps . Don't forget about your gift levels before you transfer your mage tho

Awesome . I do have 3 more questions tho, if I use a gift level, does my level go down? Like if my mage is 70 and I use all gift levels I can for a lower lvl char will I go down from 70?
Question #2, how do I make it so my mage's target is always the same as my druid's target?
Question #3, is level 60-70 really hard since you have half exp from kills and can get behind easily on zones/quests?

    1. You won't lose levels when gifting levels. The gift levels are free.
    2. If you go to the Wiki section (button at the top) you'll find awesome starting guides. There's also a couple starter videos too.
    3. Theres more than enough quests in outland to get you to 70 and since your only dualboxing you don't need to skip collection quests (multiboxers skip them as it takes that much longer).

Thanks! I LOVE multiboxing hehe especially with the benefits! I can't wait to have 6 70's as a finished product!

(Dualboxing Druid+Mage to 70, using 7 gift levels on my 63 priest & 20 gift levels on my 50, already have 2 70s aswell)

Need to get it done before wrath so I can transfer the mage over without having to buy wotlk. Though, I'm not sure I will be able to even convince my parents to use their credit card to pay $25 for a transfer D:.

Have fun pwning everyone, I know I will eventually.

You can't gift levels past level 60 Also, I believe you stop gaining gift levels after level 60 giving you a max of 30 gift levels per character.

Oh darn. Oh well, I can still get a level 31 to 60 instantly so I guess its all good

Yes druid + mage is a good combo its the first dual boxing set up I made. I started with them both just pretty much owning ranged but I am starting to experiment with the druid tanking while the mage nukes and this seems very viable as well. I know feral is traditionaly considered the best way to level a druid and I think switching from a balance play style to feral seemed to be much better dps on the druids part, I will have to test some more though to see whats best.

If you want your druid always to be the one your controlling you can simply bind certain spells with a macro

    /assist druidname
    /cast fireball

or just have a simple key bind

    /assist druidname

and then proceed to do whatever such as sheep while your druid can switch back to dpsing or healing. The only problem with this is that your druid will momentarily have to stop dpsing or healing while you target another mob for your mage to assist polymorph. Does anyone know a more efficient way to target on a secondary character without the main manually targeting it?

When you're 2-boxing, most combos will work well because there isn't as much micromanagement to be done. Most things outside instances can be soloed in this game anyway, so having a second guy with you at all times will make things that much quicker and safer.

By the way, good luck giving up multiboxing. It may be more likely that in 6 months you'll be 5 boxing it rather than 1 boxing again. Having multiple characters at once adds gameplay elements and strategy elements that you'll feel sad without.

I will most likely have to keep multiboxing because I highly doubt I will find a way to get someone to do the $25 paid acct change even if I pay them back. It will be nice having my own arena team for all my chars but it wont be nice paying for 2 accts.

Do people still call dual boxers hackers or look at them funny? I loved the reactions I got when I setup 5 mages on trial accts.
