    Default Moonkin + 4 ellys in 5v5

So, i'm bored out now days.. having trubble with geting healers online and since i'm just around 1600ish i thought that maybe i would just take my 5th druid that have s3 moonkin gearing and lots of feral tanking gearing. Mix up some gearing so he have 450 + resilions and spack up stamina on all posibol gems and enchants. Specc him as panzerkin with increased armor etc.

Go into 5v5, place him infront and have a /castrandom Moonfire, moonfire, moonfire, insect sworm, barkskin on all buttons basicly. (The reason for moonfire is that it has a really nice burst dps if you spam it, but ofc it will make you oom kinda fast.. But i dont see that as a problem, its just about adding those nice 1500 crits each seconds that will help killing somone, or dot a jumper or piller humper so he might die)
And then i use my shamys to nuke and chain heal or /target druid /cast lesser heal as i do in heroics to stay alive... The 5%crit will add some to my dps and the moonkin will probably "tank" most of the 5v5 in the lower brakets. Since he have another name and since i place him infront (lets kill the main).

What do you guys thing about this and how is it going for those of you that box 5 shammys in 5v5 ?

I definatly would consider to make some investements into your boomkin, specially for whats coming in the expansion. From my experience in beta, blizzard sure likes to implement their knockback system on a lot of trash mobs in dungeons. Trough tallents you can make yourself a bit immune to that, combined with the 400% armor gain, -50% dps debuff hurricane version and instant AE dot (startfall, 3m cooldown) I think the moonkin might be able to tank packs decently. Not to forget the synergy you are getting: 6% nature damage debuff (like shadowweaving), aura with 5% spellcrit and 20% haste (8s) scoring a crit. And perhaps blizzard is going to scale mark of the wild properly this time so thats a nice bonus as well.

As for the current arena system, i couldn't tell... Try it and let us know your expierence :-)

Yes, in expansion i will go all out moonkin + 4 ellys for 5mans and future.. And i guess that the frist week in 5v5 also will be done that way. Moonkin will be awsome in expansions. They have really gotten their own things now and are not just a tree of the druid that make the basic spells a better. I though that the in the last week before expansion i will have alot of arena points saved up so i will buy out some s3 or s4 moonkin of whats i'm missing atm. And i have kinda accepted to stay restokin for solo arena fun (2v2) untill then.

When i lvled up my shammys in theirs 55ish lvls.. I tanked as 70 panzerkin in mana tombs etc. and that worked just fine, armor rings, back and wep and rest moonkin geaing with stamina on it. Works fine for tanking aslong as you get agro. So you really need to spamm alot of moonfires, but ofc, thats what we druids are made for :P
