    Default Manylines

Hei everyone! We are the Manylines. Morriline, Mostiline, Mytheline, Minstinline and Maryline. I started multiboxing some time ago, and have found it to be very very very fun. I really do enjoy the challenge and the whole aspect of multiboxing. I have had great use of this forum and the wiki pages, and i figured it's time to give something back to the community. We are a team focused only on pve. We do dungeons. At lvl 15 we started with deadmines, and we have cleared all the 5 man dungeons in the old world of azeroth. We are currently working on the dungeons in outland, and have by this moment cleared all but black morass and magisters. The only heroic cleared so far is slave pens. We started out as a team of Pally, Priest, and three mages. But about lvl 35 we ditched a mage, and replaced her with a warlock. and when we reached 70 we ditched another mage, and got my druid into the mix. So now we are 5 different classes and enjoy great buffs and different abilities.

I have made a "chart" of some of the macros we use, and figured I'd share it with everyone. Maybe i can get some feedback on improvement or maybe i can contribute to give some other multi boxer an idea or two. Most of my macros are either made by myself, or i have found them here on the forum/wikipages. I realize that i can make some of the macros much shorter, but as long as there's room in the macro, i haven't bothered with it.

The Manylines macro compilation can be found here: Manylines macro compilation

I addition to the ones above i have also other macros but i didn't care to list em all in the chart. I have for instance cc macros. I use focus for those.
My pally targets the mob to be cc'ed, and hit's ctrl+ccbutton, this adds a raid mark to the mob and the cc'er then focuses the paladins target and then clears the target (/assist Morriline
    /focus /cleartarget)

and i use this macro for cc'ing

    /clearfocus [target=focus, dead]
    /stopcasting
/cast [target=focus] cc spell (banish, sheep, shackle, hibernate)
    /assist Morriline

I have also set up a button to buff my paladins target. People seems to get very pleased when they get 8 buffs in two global cooldowns.

I have made some screenshots from my adventures, you can find some of them here: Manylines screenies

    Some chosen ones:
    Murmur combat
    Flying mounts
    Lineup

I am boxing on the EU server Earthen Ring. And we are two 5 boxers there so far. One more will join in soon, and there might be more that i don't know of.. are you out there?

    Enjoy!

Welcome to the community, and thanks for contributing - that's a really interesting team you've got going on there

Welcome to the community. Great information in your first post too, I especially liked your macro grid. I got some good ideas out of there.

    Couple of suggestions:

    Tank Pull Button
    /castsequence reset=combat/target Seal of Crusader, Avenger's Shield
Apply SoC before the pull.... if you prefer to JoR immediately, replace with Seal of Righteousness

    Tank DPS Spam Button:
    /cast Holy Shield
This will help gen more threat, and mitigate damage. Can also down rank.

    Tank Threat Button:
    /startattack
/castsequence reset=combat/target Judgement, Seal of Righteousness
    /use trinketname

I use a focus or party position targetting scheme so my targetting looks differently.
I also find it useful to have my priest heal target of target rather than my tank directly, so my dps spam button looks more like:

/castsequence [target=targettarget,help,nodead][target=focustargettarget,help,nodead][target=party1targettarget,help,nodead][target=focus,help,nodead][target=party1,help,nodead][target=self] Prayer Of Mending, Renew, Prayer Of Mending

I prefer this targetting because I can use the same macro in BG where I set a toon as my focus, or in instances where I use party1 as my main and focus is for CC.
I don't have heals or shields in there, as they are more mana intensive, so I don't want to spam them. Also, you'll notice that with the above, you'll spend 5 seconds without Renew...

My "Heavy Heal" DPS spam button is more like

/castsequence [target=targettarget,help,nodead][target=focustargettarget,help,nodead][target=party1targettarget,help,nodead][target=focus,help,nodead][target=party1,help,nodead][target=self] Prayer Of Mending, Renew, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Prayer Of Mending, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, renew, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Prayer of Mending, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal

The complexity is just to stretch out the renews, I'd prefer:

/castfirstavailable [target...] Prayer Of Mending, Renew, Flash Heal

    Very informative.

I'd like to make a 5 class, 5 race team eventually. I suspect I'll be checking back on this thread for help lol.

Dwarf priest, Draenei paladin, Human mage, Night Elf druid, Gnome warlock (your class setup)...

    -or-

Dwarf priest, Draenei hunter, Human paladin, Night Elf druid, Gnome warlock. Mage gives me buffs and free food, hunter brings a pseudo-sixth member.

lol forgot him. So that group would have 2 extra "members".

Though I think the addition of more pets might create even more micromanagement. I don't know, I haven't boxed any pet classes.

    Thanks for your replies everyone.
And thanks Memn for the great macro tips. You do have some great points there, and i will change some of the macro towards your comments. Especially the pull macro. I should have seen that one, no idea why i haven't done that before. I have never singleboxed a pally before though, i guess that can be my excuse.
I did use to have the holyshield on my dps spam button. but that used way to much mana. But, i guess i have more mana now then i used to, so it might be a good idea to put i back. Or try downranking it as you mentioned. While doing normal instances i havn't felt the need for a heavy spam heal button. but i see it can be very useful on some heroic encounters. But flashheal does use a lot of mana compared to how much hp i gain. Maybe i can manage having both, a normal greater heal my pally, and a spam targettarget with as much heal as possible macro.

My main is my pally, so I probably play that character alot better than the others. As far as mana conservation goes, I would keep holy shield up over judging righteousness. basically, just keep shield and seal of righteousness up, with the mob judged crusader. If your still running out of mana, then your tank just isn't taking enough damage, so probably doesn't need holy shield either.

I find that flash heal scales really well with bonus healing. I don't normally put alot of direct heals in there. I like to make my spam button the base amount of healing or threat for the content, and then use more explicit healing for the heavy hits. But there are bosses where I needed a very high amount of base healing.

To be honest, I find myself adjusting the exact rotations I use in response to the content and my gear. Lately, I've been playin with using seal of blood on my pally instead of righteousness, because it is and not taking enough damage and running out of mana.

    Hello!

Lurker surfacing here finally. I have 4 shamans on Earthen Ring EU, alliance, currently 56, and we met yesterday. Was nice to find someone else there doing this!

It was nice to meet you Fnutt!
It's turning into a little multiboxing community on Earthen Ring EU now. I like that.
