I understand the mechanics of gifting the 29 levels from a 60, but what about if you have 2 60s? is that 2X29 I can give away? or 3x29? Can anyone confirm any experience with this??
Each character gains gift levels on its own, I believe. So if you level 2 60's on the referred account, you can gift 29 levels from one level 60 and 29 levels from another level 60.

I'm trying this currently but haven't actually leveled my 2nd 60 yet. She's only level 15.

As long as you do it within 90 days (RAF expiration), then you can gift as many levels as you can earn within that period.

That is how I understood it too(maybe that's how I wanted it to work) but my friend said he gave away his 29 levels to get an alt to 59, but other chars on the noob account could not give away levels.

I guess you could just take your level 15 guy and see if giving away a level is an option. That would put my mind as ease .

Has anyone tried this on more than one server.

Say PVP server make grp lvl to 60 gift lvls

Normal server make grp lvl to 60 gift lvls , should work fine since its same RAF account .

You should still be able to gift the levels to the linked veteran account, Biostar, if you have them to gift that is. You just can not gift levels beyond level 60.

Did you reach level 60 and are no longer able to gift the levels you had earned?

    Hah... yes! That was me.

It looks like you can still grant at level 60 (THANK GOD!) and that it was a mistake in the FAQ that was corrected (but not on the EU version yet).

I will go home tonight and test (have 4 accounts that I just got to 60 to grant levels with :P) to confirm and let y'all know the results.

For some reason I always thought it was "earn gifts until you turn 70" and "give gifts for every 2 levels you earn to any character on the vet acct of lower level than you (or level 60, whichever is smaller)"

    Ahh, here we go:

Alright. On the level gifting front!

Recruit-A-Friend trial characters (continuing even after upgraded) will receive 1 free level for every 2 levels gained up until 70. This means, a "trial" character may successfully give away 30 levels. These levels may be stored up to 90 days, when the Recruit-A-Friend benefits expire.

With this, you may give all 30 levels away at once—all to one character, or to multiple different characters. A character may receive gifted levels up to level 60.

    Hope that helps.

So, wait, is there a typo there? If I can gain gift levels all the way to 70, wouldn't I have 34 to give away (not 35, because of the start at 3 thing)?

I'm thinking it means I gain them up to 60, no?

Sorry, the post was edited. It had originally said "60" but was edited to "70". :P

Syndri had posted in another thread that she confirmed it was indeed 70, but this thread was only hours after RAF was announced so she had initially assumed it was 60. Let me see if I can find a less confusing blue post.

    Here are some hints...

As far as gifting levels is concerned:

Are the levels stored in a charge-like system, or must you gift each level at the two gain mark. For example, Character A is level 1. Can I level him to 70 and then have 34/35 levels to gift to character B, then level character B to 20 before gifting him all of the levels total, instantly bumping him to level 55?

This makes a world of difference.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe they're stored as "charges".

The recruited player can decide to grant all 29 levels at once to a character on a linked account.
The character who is being granted a level has the option to accept or decline the level grant.

Levels can only be granted to the veteran player's account, not vice versa.
Levels can not be granted Cross Faction.
A character on the recruited account cannot grant a level to a character equal or higher than their own level.
Levels are granted to the veteran player's character by right-clicking the target player's portrait. You will see a "Grant Level" option.
Note: The max a single character can gain is 29. So the fact that you "can only gift 29 levels" might not be limited by the level of the "referred trial" -- if they level to 70, they can't give 35 levels to ONE person. They must spread it between others on the veteran account. This might be where we're getting confused?
